One exhausted airline passenger snapped a photo of a scene she said restored her faith in humanity after a long day of travel.<\/p>
According to a post submitted to the Love What Matters Facebook page, <\/a> a woman on Mackenzie Murphy’s flight was traveling alone with two twin babies she said looked to be under 6 months old when a gate worker on the packed flight took the mother’s car seat to store under the plane.<\/p> The stowed car seat forced the woman to hold both babies because they weren’t old enough to sit alone in the airplane seats. A flight attendant then told the mother she couldn’t hold both babies and would have to leave the flight prior to takeoff.<\/p> That’s when another mom stepped up in a big way.<\/p> “A mother sitting in front of me, with permission from the other mother, volunteered to hold one of her babies for the entire flight,” Murphy wrote in the Facebook post, adding that the quick 45-minute flight turned into sitting on the tarmac for two and a half hours.<\/p> “Without a complaint this woman fed the other woman’s baby and burped him,” Murphy continued. “Her own daughter started crying. This mom, so calmly, went on to explain to her young daughter that ‘our job is to help other people. This mom is all by herself with no help, and really needs another mom to help.'”<\/p> Murphy said the mom then went on to hold the baby and sing him songs, which tired the baby out and led him to sleep the entire flight.<\/p> “My heart still feels fuzzy,” Murphy wrote. “Moral of the story is when you see people needing help, do the right thing and help them.”<\/p> The Facebook post captured the hearts of thousands and has been liked nearly 100,000 times, shared more than 7,600 times and has had hundreds of comments. Some commenters shared similar flight experiences, while others praised the woman’s helping heart.<\/p> “There are Angels everywhere, we just don’t see them because they aren’t looking for rewards,” one commenter wrote. “The Mommy of the twins was so Blessed to have met an Angel.
