Humphrey, founder of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.whatsinababyname.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">What&rsquo;s In a Baby Name<\/a>, that may go double if they&rsquo;re on the hunt for unique baby boy names.&nbsp;<\/p><p>&ldquo;Parents tend to be more creative with girls&rsquo; names than with boys&rsquo; names,&rdquo; says Humphrey. &ldquo;But while we expect to see more innovation with girls&rsquo; names, I have been getting quite a few clients who are looking for more unique &lsquo;masculine&rsquo; names.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p><p>When it comes to more traditional boy or <a href=\"https:\/\/www.care.com\/c\/gender-neutral-baby-names\/\">gender-neutral names<\/a>, parents aren&rsquo;t as attached to the name itself<em> <\/em>as they are to the meaning behind the name, Humphrey continues. &ldquo;Where parents are more likely to choose a unique girl&rsquo;s name because they simply love the sound, they seem less likely to do that for boys without having a deeper connection to the name,&rdquo; she says.<\/p><p>Looking for unique baby boy names? Read on for ideas from Humphrey, Sophie Kihm, editor-in-chief of <a href=\"https:\/\/nameberry.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nameberry<\/a> and more.&nbsp;<\/p><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-girl-inspired-baby-boy-names\">&ldquo;Girl-&rdquo; inspired baby boy names<\/h2><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.care.com\/c\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/09\/2.png\" alt=\"Unique baby boy names for babies\" class=\"wp-image-204708\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.care.com\/c\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/09\/2.png 1080w, https:\/\/www.care.com\/c\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/09\/2-768x768.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px\"><\/figure><p><\/p><p>A trend Kihm is seeing for baby boys: Names that have, in the past, been &ldquo;predominantly feminine.&rdquo; These names are delightfully unexpected on baby boys, she says, making them both hip and unique:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Artemis.<\/li><li>Cleo.<\/li><li>Eden.<\/li><li>Harlow.<\/li><li>June.<\/li><\/ul><p>Eden, it should be noted, is the only one in the list above to break the top 1,000 for boys since 2020, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.gov\/cgi-bin\/popularnames.cgi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Social Security Administration<\/a> (SSA). Currently, it&rsquo;s ranked at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.gov\/cgi-bin\/babyname.cgi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">438<\/a> in the U.S. It is, however, in the top 100 in France, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/nameberry.com\/b\/boy-baby-name-eden\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Nameberry<\/a>.<\/p><p>Other names to consider that have have not broken the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ssa.gov\/cgi-bin\/popularnames.cgi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">SSA<\/a> top 300 for boys in the last year:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Alexis. This name peaked in 2022, with a total number of 667 births.<\/li><li>Kayce. Kayce went from 586 in 2022 to 459 in 2023.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Shiloh. Shiloh is currently the most popular it&rsquo;s ever been for boys, at 388.<\/li><li>Reece. In 2023, the number of births with the name Reece was 686, which is about 0.037% of the total male births in 2023.<\/li><\/ul><h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-cowboy-inspired-baby-boy-names\">Cowboy-inspired baby boy names<\/h2><figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1080\" height=\"1080\" src=\"https:\/\/www.care.com\/c\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/09\/3.png\" alt=\"Unique baby boy names for babies\" class=\"wp-image-204716\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.care.com\/c\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/09\/3.png 1080w, https:\/\/www.care.com\/c\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/2\/2024\/09\/3-768x768.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1080px) 100vw, 1080px\"><\/figure><p><\/p><p>These unique baby boy names are &ldquo;choices that sound at home on the range,&rdquo; notes Kihm:<\/p><ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Colter. According to Nameberry, <a href=\"https:\/\/nameberry.com\/b\/boy-baby-name-colter\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Colter<\/a> is given to about 1,000 boys each year.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Harlan.
