How to Make Boolicious Apples
Blogger Smita Srivastava offers a healthy Halloween treat
Halloween doesn't have to be all about candy and sugar! Smita Srivastava of Little Food Junction says all you need are a few fresh apples and some carving materials to make your Halloween healthy and kid-friendly. Even if you've never tried fruit carving before, this easy do-it-yourself treat will bring out your inner artist!
Degree of Difficulty: Intermediate
- Sharp pointed knife
- Edible markers or toothpick
- Lemon juice
Draw a Halloween themed design on the apple using edible markers or a toothpick. Using a sharp knife gently peel off the design. Soak in a pot of water with few drops of lemon juice to prevent browning. Pat dry & serve or cling wrap & refrigerate for later use.
