Florida-Home Care

What is Home Care?

If your parent prefers to "age in place," , Home Care is a great option. Home care offers two types of assistance - skilled medical care and non-medical care. With skilled medical care, a nursing aide is able to administer medication and perform other medical tasks that might include wound care or infusion therapy. Non-medical home care includes other tasks such as lifting and transferring, dressing, personal care, light house cleaning, meal preparation, and possible transportation. This is often an option for families who feel a nursing home is not an option for their family. Please read our Care.com article on In-Home Care vs. Nursing Home Care.
