Arkansas-Hospice

Although many people prefer to not discuss end-of-life matters, it is something that will bring you and your loved ones peace of mind and comfort. While there is little you can do to ease the pain of loss, there are steps you can take to make the end-of-life as comfortable as possible.

Hospice

As they near end-of-life, many people decide to abandon hospital treatments for Hospice. Hospice favors quality over quantity of life and strives to make the process of dying dignified and pain-free. At the center of hospice is respect for the patient. Instead of being at the mercy of doctors' decisions, seniors decide when, where, and how they receive treatment and work with their own physician and their hospice team to decide what is best. Treatment aims not to extend life, but to maximize comfort and primarily consists of pain management and symptom control. Hospice may be administered at home, in a nursing home, or in a hospital-wherever your loved is one most comfortable.
