9 Male Role Models You Can Actually Feel Good About

Good male celebrity role models aren’t easy to find. Many of today’s celebs always seem to be in the news for affairs, drunk driving and drug use, among other severe lapses in judgment. As a parent, it’s hard to feel confident in any celebrity our kid looks up to.

Actually, there are young men today who are both cool and admirable role models that moms can feel good about. Here are some of the best male role models of today:

  1. Justin Timberlake
Along with his outstanding musical, acting and comedy skills (have you seen him on “Saturday Night Live?”), Justin Timberlake is a class act. He has good family values, he works hard and he gives back. He’s known not only for giving generous monetary donations, but also volunteering his time.

  1. Larry Fitzgerald
Current Arizona Cardinals receiver and founder of the First Down Fund, an organization that helps kids and families in crisis, Larry Fitzgerald is another positive role model. In addition to his charitable donations, Fitzgerald always dresses well and maintains a humble attitude.

  2. Leonardo DiCaprio
Leonardo DiCaprio may be an A-list actor, but he’s also the ultimate environmental activist. He has donated millions of dollars to environmental protection groups and has made several documentaries to educate people about environmental issues.

  3. The Jonas Brothers
The Jonas Brothers were one of the top bands and continue to have huge success in their solo careers. They’re also big advocates for good, wholesome values. They also started their own foundation, Change for the Children, which helps support programs that motivate and inspire children to face adversity.

Nick Jonas, who was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at age 13, is an outspoken advocate for those living with the disease. He puts himself forth as a role model, showing kids that they can overcome disabilities to achieve their goals.

  4. Eli Manning
Eli Manning has won two Super Bowls as the New York Giants’ quarterback, but he doesn’t let this fame go to his head. Instead, he raises money for children’s clinics and hospitals and maintains positive family values.

  1. Robbie Rogers
An esteemed soccer player, Robbie Rogers made headlines as the first openly gay player. He is not only a role model for LGBT youth, but as an example to all children to just be themselves.

  2. Michael Oher
Michael Oher, the real-life person behind the movie “The Blind Side,” who’s currently a tackle for the Carolina Panthers, is another great role model. He is an amazing football player who worked hard to beat the odds and get to where he is.
