Check out some of the smartest, hippest, chicest mommy bloggers in and around D.C.

It’s easy to get lost in a place like D.C. There’s so much to do, but the frenzied pace of living can leave parents feeling haggard. I moved to the D.C. Metro area as a single mom in 2006. Originally hailing from a small town in Virginia, I was a little more than overwhelmed. Everyone seemed larger than life. They also seemed smarter and more interesting than me.

It took me a few years to figure out their secret sauce. Everyone else feels the same way! We’re all just trying to figure it out. These 10 mom bloggers do that with epic flare and humor. D.C. moms embody all that is chic and sophisticated. The women featured below will help you give your child an edge, manage your overwhelming life in style, and get an insider’s view of how other moms in the area manage to keep all their ducks in a row.

And, despite their name, mom blogs aren’t just for moms — in fact, they also make great resources for child care professionals, too! So, no matter whether you’re looking for advice as a babysitter, a nanny, or even a mother’s helper, these mom blogs can help you out.
