How do I get my daughters to stop fighting over the bathroom?
My 10, 8, and 6-year-old daughters always seem to need the bathroom at the same time. I'm tired of hearing them fight over this one room every day. How do I stop my daughters from fighting over the bathroom?
First have a family meeting and give everyone a chance to voice their problems with one another using the bathroom. Explain to the that they have to respect each others privacy. Take in every concern, then set up a schedule for the bathroom with time limits and consequences for who goes over their time limit. Due to the age difference the consequence should not be the same. They should be personal to who breaks the limit. (You know your girls better than anyone so you know their weaknesses) For instance, if you 10 year old goes over here bathroom limit and she likes watching Disney Channel after homework time, then no Disney Channel after homework time until she follows her time limit.
Have them take turns.Set a timer or something than when someone time is up the next child has her time but limit their time but each other the same time limit.Like one has 20 minutes and the next one has 20 minutes and the next one has 20 minutes
What I do with my 3 teenager daughters is that specially before school in the mornings, I wake them up at different times, the one that takes the longest wakes up first at 5:30am, then at 6:00am the next and at 7:00am the last, this has worked for all of us since the fighting over who is using the hair straightener first has stop.
