I have my own insurance, so additional insurance is not needed if I am hired.

Hello, Yes, liability insurance is good for you to have and the caregivers should also have their own www.nso.com should be $70 yearly for a million coverage. Hope this was a big help, Karen W. (Director of Care)

If you go through a small business to provide home care then the business should hold the insurance.

You may need to include the caregiver on your mother's car insurance only if she is going to drive your mother in your mother's car.

Look at your homeowner's insurance policy for this answer. As far as worker's com and unemployment, I'd check with your CPA to see what is the best way to handle this. You might want to consider utilizing care.com's payroll system, I'm guessing they may handle all the taxes.

Hi, you may consider hiring/talking to a lawyer regarding liability insurance and pay through Care.com. I would certainly think your homeowners would cover any accidents, but contact a professional. Call care re payments to caregivers. I'm sure they will be able to assist you. Hope this helps!
