I have a quick question, sometimes on job listings I’d see transportation not required, even though the posting says drop off and pick up is required. What does this mean?
It could mean that they will let you use one of their cars to pick up or drop off the children, or it could mean that they just filled out the job posting incorrectly. I would just apply, and if they reach out to you you can always ask for clarification.
This means you should have a car to take you to work and also to drop and pick up the kids to and from school and sometimes take them to the park or nearby shopping centers for sight seeing and relaxation.
Sometimes, it means that the parent is willing to provide their own vehicle, or simply made an error!
If you are interested, just ask the family for clarification.
I'd guess it's within walking distance!
People need to be a bit more detailed in their job posts. Very frustrating when trying to search!
Have to walk to pick or drop off the kids .
This means that you have to provide for your transportation to and from the sitter, but you do not need to make any transportation for the child and while you are babysitting
Meaning you should use your own car for that aspect irrespective of the cost incurred
I would think it means that maybe the family would have you use their car vs. your car for drop off and pick up.
This means the family could possibly have an extra vehicle for you to use while watching the children. Though to be safe, it never hurts to ask.
I think this is simply miscommunication when the person posting the job listing didn't select the option for "transportation required" but they do, in fact, require you to have a car.
That the people probably didn't read carefully or where confused by the way the website is worded. Unless you work some place like NYC where everyone uses public transit, or the school is a short walk from the house.
Either the family will provide you with a car, or they live around public transit that is more commonly used.
not clear, maybe possibilities? Job interwiev telling the answer. They need paperwork's check safety and driving records etc. maybe a option in the hiring process?
Usually, this means that the family may provide a car for you to drive if they want you to transport their children to activities/school.
Sometimes the family may have a family car for you to use while on shift so that they don't have to figure out pay for your gas
most times, means they have a car for the nanny to use.
It means that the family forgot to require transportation, but that still means you'll need transportation to pick up and drop off the children
it could mean pick up and drop off at the bus stop
How much do other caregivers in the area charge for transporting Seniors?
