I will having a Stem cell transplant for cancer in January and will be needing a caregiver 2 or 3 days a week 8hrs a day to sit and make sure that I'm taking my medication. Some meal preparation and doctors appointments at Northside Hospital.
What will be the average cost for this service?
I charge $15 as a caregiver to keep you company and happy, make sure all medications are taken, take you to every Dr appointment, and prepare as many meals as you need every day I am caring for you.
I believe $20hr will be appropriate for the services.
Depending upon the amount of care and how much hands on is needed. I ususally charge beteeen 15$ to $20, however, some caregivers will work with you and your budget.
I would estimate around 20.-25 per hour as it is set days and hours.
$250-$350 per 24 hour week.
The average cost for this service will run between $15-20 per hour depending on how much needs to be done for the patient and the home.
I have a rate that I charge due to my experience. I think this all depends on the care giver or the agency
The average cost for this service will probably be $10-11 / an hour.
For me it depends how much care the person need.
The cost for services such as these are dependent on several variables. How much supervision is required? How much driving is involved? What type of meal preparation is preferred? Each detail and need of service dictates the cost of care.
I will charge 22.00 per hour for this service.
I would estimate it to be between fifteen and twenty-five dollars per hour.
Where is Northside hospital
This depends. Most caregivers (myself included) would charge 15$ per hour for this, and possibly mileage reimbursement if using the caregiver's car. If you're interested in lowering costs, another suggestion would be asking family/friends to help out as well so you don't need the caregiver as much.
16 to 18 per hour
Depends on the state and whomever you find. The rates vary from agencies to private caregivers. The risk is finding someone trustworthy and experienced. Medication should be handled by the family and counted daily to make sure nothing goes missing. Sadly it happens a lot even in Senior Living Facilities.
A caregiver with experience working 2-3 day for 8 hours as a sitter pay rate is between 13-15 dollars an hour.
If it is three days then it will cost 480 dollars
On average would charge my base rate of 15
If is a direct pay by the customer cost is to be negosiated between partys
I'm not sure but Im sure there is a percentage through your health coverage
15.00 an hour is my rate for covering that responsibility of help.
The average cost for this service is from $25 to $30 for hour.
It really depends on the time of year you ask-- for example, during the summer when high schoolers are on break and are available for the hours you are asking for, they tend to work for much cheaper. They run around $7.50-9 an hour. If you are looking for someone with experience or training in medical management, you are likely to pay more toward $11-17 an hour. Driving time, distance, and weekday vs weekend hours are factors toward pricing as well.
$12.00/hr but we can talk about other options if this isn't affordable for you.
Hi there - In my area (St. Louis) a short term need like this usually runs about $20 an hour plus mileage for transportation. Hope this helps! ~Kirstin
$20 per hr

$15-$25 per hour
I am a registered nurse, a family nurse practitioner. I am a cancer survivor and I know that care at this point needs to be consistent, kind and present. Where is Northside Hospital? Thank you Kathleen
20 an hour
For the average cost for my service it will atleast $13.00
$240 would be the very cheapest at $10/hr for 3 days. $300 would be more realistic. The distance your caregiver will travel may affect the price. Kay Davidson, Home Companion
I charge $15.00 an hr. This will add up to either 2 days at 240.00 or 3 days at 360.00.
Hi t least $100 a day. Thanks
Caregivers typically charge $18 per hour or more.
If your caregiver charges you between 15 and 20 dollars per hour, your cost will run from 240 at the low end to 320 dollars at the high end for two eight-hour days.
20 a hour
Approximately 10-12 per hour
$15/hr plus federal mileage rate for using your own vehicle for things like shopping and taking client to medical related appointments.
$15 per hour
$13.00 and hour
First of all, may you have a successful transplant and be cancer-free! - Gather all your food so there isn't meal preparation if money is a concern. Individual containers of yogurt, applesauce, raisins, etc. Pop-off lids of canned soups of various type, salmon, tuna, etc. are also options along with packs of crackers, loaf bread, and ready-to-eat vegs such as baby carrots. You can also wash apples ahead of time, and even make coffee ahead of time if you wish to take it farther. Then put in order on your kitchen counter-top your daily food items. Cover all the other details such as fresh water in a pitcher, etc. so the caregiver has almost zero kitchen work. This way, you can reduce what the caregiver has to do, and focus on paying for the transportation and sitting. If a caregiver just sits and provides transportation, she has less to do and you have more option to offer lower pay. Next, start reading caregiver ads in your area and interviewing caregivers. ANOTHER OPTION: call your local Council on Aging and ask them for a caregiver. They have seniors who want to work and the pay is usually slightly below the going rate. ANOTHER OPTION: Local churches that are active in the community may be able to help you with a caregiver if money is so tight that it's a challenge for you to hire someone. Cancer is an ugly beast and you will beat this! Churches have many members who would love to help you during this challenging time in your life. (Many people would love to help, it's just churches tend to have more hands-on opportunities to connect these individuals with your need.)
$160, and can be negotiable

The average cost should be 15-20 dollars an hour.
$30.00 an hour

the average cost for this service will be $20 dollars an hrs.

$20 per hour
$10-$15 an hour depending on the amount of driving.
10 per hour
Contact me on care.com My rates are negotiable. I work with care.com Thank You! Darby
I would say about $12-$15 an hour plus mileage if the caregivers car is used for transportation.
I think it depends on the caregiver's background and experience. If you have someone who has medical education, training and experience, who is trained to care for people who have medical conditions and what to look for and have training with medications, they should get paid more than someone who does not. I would say that for what you may be looking for as far as job requirements, $20-$25 an hour for someone with a medical background, or $15-$20 for someone who does not that background. If you would like to talk, I would be interested in talking to you and possibly working those 3 days a week that you will be looking for.
To whom it may concern, I would charge $10.00 an hour.
15.00 a hour
I think around 20 to 25 depends
I would do my best to care for the patient, learn all i can about Stem cell transplant and take very security measure known to take care of the patient. Keep is being willing to learn and that I am. I would gladly prepare meal they can eat and have no problem transporting the patient to the doctors where ever they may be.
Anywhere from $250-$400 a week.
it will start at 18 a hour
Because rate all differs state to state, where or should I ask what state is Northside Hospital? Depending on work-load as caregiver gets into all requested, could range $15-$20. But bare in mind hourly vs. entire week vs. live-in rates could very well benefit both client and caregiver in the long run. Nothing is ever cut & dry, more requests arise as we get into the whole of all requirements. Thank You for your time, Sincerely Rebecca G.
$20 to $24 an hour
I can help you.
I would charge at least $15 a hour or would work with you to come up with a amount we agree on.
Where is Northside Hospital? Do you need transportation to and from or just care in your home? What town is your home in? that will help nail down the price.
$20 an hour
Caregiving costs vary depending on hours and services needed. It sounds like you would be needing the most basic level of care which should run you $15-22 per hour. I would budget $360-$550 per week for services. Hope this helps!
$20 per hour.
average rate as a chha is between $15 to $18 per hour depends I think of Experience and [age] maturity good luck
Hello! My ex husband went through this exact treatment 10 years ago. He was treated at Allegheny General Hospital and his stem cell transplant was done at West Penn Hospital. I am totally aware of what you are going through. Typical cost for a qualified caregiver ranges from the low of $10.00 per hour to $25.00 per hour. You will find more qualified and experienced caregivers in the $15.00 and above range. I wish you complete success (my ex husband is still with us!) with your treatment and if I can answer any other questions or help in any way-don't hesitate to contact me. Regards, Sherry Cramer
Ive worked with a cancer/leukemia patient. Was with them Mon-FRi 7a-7p at $20/hr.
15 to 18 hr
no less them $15 per hour
This depends on what kind of caregiver you need. CNA's are not really qualified for this type of position nor are MA's. Private duty RN's require anywhere from $30 or more per hour.
$700 a week.
Good Morning, Let me start by saying a prayer to you that your Stem Cell Transplant is sucessful and you are up/well quickly. To answer your Care.com question, being in the care giving business for more than 25 yrs. a fair price for your needs would be 160.-200. per day.
The cost that I would charge is $20.00 per hr.
Do take A job like that I'd ask for $18/ hour.
I would like to meet you and the client where she would feel comfortable with me being with her these three day. Then we can discuss a fare price then. I look forward in meeting you both. Thank You for your time, Brenda
I'm interested more information
Eight hours pr. day at fifteen to twenty dollars per day. Transportation in your vehicle is the cost of your gas and included in the eight hours. If I transport you in my vehicle I charge fifty cents per mile and calculate mileage from leave to arrive. I get paid to wait with you wherever your appts. are and meal prep and medication management is included in the hourly rate.................. M. Thompson
$20 an hour.
I am not sure, this would be first paid position. Shall we talk more. Thanks, Brenda. I am dedicated, and you can see my one review. I look forward to helping.
$15-$20 per hour
Normally if the patient has insurance they could get together with their social worker and financial support team, whether that be Insurance, etc. to determine what would be covered for this, and them work out a fee working with the social worker.
50 hr agency, 25 private. The American Cancer Society has volunteers to assist with this need as well.
I would love the opportunity to work with your mother after her transplant in January. I am working part time the first week of January at this time caring for a 93 year old gentleman. I do love to cook and I love working with mature folks because of their wisdom, knowledge, and helping these folks makes me happy. I look forward hearing back from you? Happy Holidays and best of luck on your upcoming Stem Cell Transplant. I will be saying prayers for all.
I charge $20.00/hour. Adele Trebil
For two days the cost would be 320.00 and for 3 days the cost is 480.00 this is calculated at 20.00 per hour.
$20 per hour.
My average cost would be 15 an hour. Of course I would help with any light cleaning and other tasks that the patient would be in need of :)
For an experienced, dependable caregiver, with references, who will transport you safely to appointments and back, and do medication reminders, I would suggest that a reasonable cost for this service would be in the range of $18-$25/hour, depending on the location/market.
$15 an hour
The cost of sevice is usually detrmined according to the care one needs, however, there is base cost for general care. Since the caregiver will be required to provide transportation to the doctor's appointments, the cost of this care will be above the normal service cost and that would have to be negotiated with the patient or the patient's authorized next of kin.
Average start is starting at 15.00 and up depending on the persons creditials and exspetiece
Hello the average cost for this service will be 15/h thanks
For 3 days a week, About $420-$430 a week.
I will be there one day without many.Sent the address.thank you.
Greetings, I'm sorry you are going through such challenging times. I hope all goes well for you. But to answer your question, the average cost for Homee services varies 15-20 dollars per hour. Perhaps even a slight more depending on what is needed. Wish you the best
Maybe $8/hr and for 3 days $192/week.
I would recommend $15/Hr. for weekdays, $18/Hr. weekends; however, make sure you resonate with the personality of the caregiver. Hope that helps!
$240.00-$360.00 a week. Working 3 days a week at 8 hrs per day at 10-15 dollars an hour.
I would think 15/hr and 8 hours for three days at 15.00 an hour would be about 360.
Typically, $15-25/hr depending on if you hire a Caregiver direct or go through a Company. If you Do have Caregiver Services covered under your Insurance or other Benefits, like VA if a Vet/Spouse or Eligible Child of a Vet...Shop Care Agencies first.
$20.00 per hour
Hello, I would charge $25/hour. I am currently taking an elderly client to Chemo therapy
I would suggest $15-20 per hour.
