"I just want you to know that you're not only the best mom anyone could ever ask for but you're also my best friend. I love you so much and I thought you should know how much I truly appreciate you". Hearing those words definitely made me feel "appreciated"!
A few days ago I was having an exceptionally bad day and my children were so sensitive to my mood and my needs that, without asking, they cooked dinner and cleaned up after. They showed their concern for my needs and feelings through their actions.
Out of the blue the sweet mother I work for said I JUST LOVE YOU SO MUCH. WE ARE SO LUCKY! Also they made my birthday feel really special.
I’ve had families do so many nice things for me that made me feel appreciated! Of course we’ve probably all received gifts, flowers, gift cards, etc-especially around the holidays and such. But the best thing families have done to appreciate me was heartfelt letters or sentiments shared with me in person along with a hug-a face to face affirmation of how much they appreciate something I’ve done or what I do for their family. That’s been the most special and means the most.
I always feel very appreciated when the parents tell me how their child has succeeded with something I helped with such as potty-training, school-work, etc. I can always see the relief in their eyes. It makes me incredibly happy to know I made a difference.
They wrote me a lovely, glowing, adjective filled reference. This was by far the nicest letter I have ever received in my entire years of childcare. Blew me totally out of the water! :)
My sister often compliments the way that I can make her daughter laugh
They communicated very well with me which allowed us to grow a trusting bond and caring for their child was very smooth as there were never any problems
My sister woke up earlier than usual to make me breakfast so that I could sleep for an extra hour before going to college.
Many of the children I have worked with asked there parents if I could stay forever with them (1) even asked her parents to get a bed for me so I could just stay at there home. Additionally keeping in contact with all of my past children well in to there adulthood.
I recently was invited to the Top Scholars Reception and my parents told me they were proud of me. It made me feel appreciated for the hard work I am putting in.
Little gestures, small gifts without occasion, mostly handmade, flowers, a few nice words can make me feel at the seventh heaven.
Any positive changes in their pets behavior because of THEIR hard work. Makes my heart happy <3 .
when a child was happy to see me and she give me a hug.
I'm being flown to NY for a month to care for my god daughter who I have been caring for on and off for many years. She and her mom love me so much, and they need my help so off I go!
My 19 year old son told me he loves me, loves me a lot, really loves me. He told me this while giving me a hug.
You are part of the family 😊
I currently work as a preschool teacher and a family told me "our children love you. They talk about you all the time. They love coming to school now." I love to inspire children to love learning.
My part-time family always praises my servicing to them! Whether it be to their friends or their family they never fail to acknowledge my presence, they introduce me when they have visitors as "their AMAZING nanny"! That alone is gratifying.
I've been spending a lot of late nights at work recently. Its so much that im not able to see my younger brother before he goes to bed. I came home early yesterday and he ran up and met me at the door with hugs and kisses. He said he heard my keys jingling at the door and got excited. That little moment right there meant the world to me. It let me know that although our ages are very far apart, he still appreciates me
Last week, the mother of the child I watch full time commented that she was so appreciative of the fact that I treat her child like he is a part of my family- showing him plenty of love and affection as well as caring for him & helping him learn!
A family thanked me for being encouraging. They were pleased that i did not force them to try something that was out of the comfort zone, but instead, I used positive reinforcement.
I don't take recommendations lightly, which is why I am extremely grateful that one of the few families I baby sit for recommended me for one of their close friends. For a family to recommend me and trust that I am a good fit for one of their friends is something that has shown that they appreciate me and that they have enjoyed my work with their child.
We will have a hard time replacing someone as mature as you to take care of our children
Something that my family has said that really made me feel appreciated was when my father pointed out the fact that I've become very responsible and he is so proud of me for juggling school and work. I felt so recognized that it almost made everything I was doing worth it.
they let me go to Europe and they payed for it
A family has told me that after organizing their child's entire room, the parents said they would work on keeping it that way and showed their gratitude with a bonus at the end of the week!
I worked with an amazing family until they moved out of state a couple months ago. Before they left, they gifted me with a round trip ticket to visit them whenever I can! That shows they really considered me as part of the family and are looking forward to seeing me!
My aunt and uncle recently showed a lot of appreciation for my help over the summer. I spent my summer (and Labor Day holiday) helping them prepare their old house for rent (painting, sheetrock work, etc.). I could tell by their smile, particularly my uncle's, that they truly appreciated my help.
My family told me they don't know what they would do without me and send me texts saying how much they appreciate me. Another time they told me their son passed his vision test and the doctor was so impressed that he knew his letters so well, they told him it was because of his awesome nanny!
MY FAMILY HAS ALWAYS SAID THEY LOVE HOW I TAKE CARE OF THEM AND I ALWAYS GO ABOVE AND BEYOND TO MAKE THEM HAPPY SPECIAL AND LOVED. THEY LOVE ME CAUSE I AM DIFFERENT AND ALWAYS MAKE THEM FEEL APPRECIATED
I put together a scrapbook with all the pictures that I had taken during my time as a Nanny with the family. The oldest daughter had fun adding the stickers to each page and we left it on the end table for Mom and Dad to see when they arrived home. When each of them thanked me for the book, I felt that it was a nice surprise and much appreciated! Making others smile, makes my day:) Cathy W.
My children give me hugs and kisses.
I FEEL PROUD OF MY WORK WHEN I SEE THE SMILE AND WELL_BEING OF THE CHILDREN I CARE FOR
When a family that you have been their baby sitter for over a year value your worth as a caregiver.
My mom is spending a lot of money on me for my sixteenth birthday. A custom dress, cake and back drop. Then not only that, but she's doing the photo-shoot because shes a photographer.
there really a good family and really awesome I do love them
My family has always said "You can be anything you want to be".
Recently my mother shared with me that she would be very pleased if I would agree to handle her estate and affairs when the time comes. This let me know that not only does she love me, but that she completely trust my judgement on important matters as well. What a great feeling!
Starbucks gift card!
"we are so glad we found you!"

My sons allowed me to sleep in and cared for me when I was ill for two days. This was really thoughtful and generous of them. It made my heart happy :)
Hi Parents! My name is Natalia, 33 years old. I have 5 years childcare experience, especially working with infants. My experiences include: professional nannying, babysitting. I am a very active and engaging nanny that your children will enjoy; leaving you comfortable with them in my care. In addition, reading with children, sign language, playing stimulating games rather than electronics, crafts/creative play, and spending a lot of time outside are some my favorites activities. I can do that: health food, BLW, laundry and light housecleaning. I'm currently looking for a full time nannying position, and I live in Pacific Beach. I have CPR and driver license. I am really responsible. Please feel free to contact me for full-time, date nights and occasional babysitting as well. Reference upon request. I can provide references from family. Can't wait to hear from you! Sincerely, Natalia.
Something my family has done lately to make me feel appreciated is be able to bond more as a family and have more family time we couldn't have before
just recently when to past client funeral. The children all talked about how much she liked me and enjoyed me helping her.
Always my lovely family have shown and taught me to be dignified, loving, honest, helping those who need it and enjoying life.
They said that I am a great cook and they appreciate me.
Lately, my family has said that they appreciate my cooking and they loved my homemade chicken strips that I made.
Getting pumpkin latte unexpectedly. Just because she knew I would enjoy having one when she went through the drive thru on her way back home to do office work.
My 10 year old daughter help clean the house without any attitude or sass lol. It made me feel VERY appreciated because usually she has attitude and sass lol.
Today I went to visit my parents and they thanked me for always keeping my word and being responsible, I returned the favor by thanking them instead because they are the ones that raised me and molded me into the young lady I am today(:
My last family (the position just ended on 9/27/18) and they always made me feel special and appreciated every day I was there. The mom and I always had lunch together before she went to work, we also enjoyed just talking about many different things, not just the little one.
My daughter told me I am her world. She makes me feel appreciated everyday I spend with her
Just having my 12 year grandson (who we are raising) come to me and say " I love you Nanny. You are the best."
when I had a one time job baby sitting for a toddler my son cooked me dinner.
Kids become close to me because I give them love and protection and make them feel protected in my presence.
I wrote a letter to the parents I work for, thanking for having me taking care of their beautiful daughter. The mother of the child, who is usually very reserved and calm said to me several days later, "Thank you for writing us the letter. That means a lot to us." It was unexpected and touched me.
One family that I just met with for a babysitting opportunity told me they were so happy they found me, feels like a great fit and they l8ve me a lot! Wow that made me feel SUPER great and I hadn't even started a first day yet pretty cool! My baby sister always makes me feel awesome and appreciated she always tells me how great I am with kiddos and caring for little ones is a very evident and genuine blessing in me! That makes me feel the BEST and so positive because caring for kids is my life long passion!
My family has repeatedly thanked me for all the focus on preparing their daughter for preschool and kindergarten. Helping their son prepare for preschool. Working on their manners and sitting correctly is still a work in progress. There is always something new to learn! :) I love my job as a nanny!!
You're our best friend!
My family made dinner for my daughter to ensure that she ate before I got home because they knew that I was going to be home late from work.
I'm proud that 4 years ago I started with this lovely asbergers child who barely made eye contact, would not touch you or allow you to touch him.I worked so very hard each and every day to tell him how awesome he was, how smart he was, how handsome he is how proud I am at everything he has done and is doing. I spent a lot of loving time with him but there were many meltdowns walks outside to blow off steam.we worked together He would not touch me as the family were hugging every night but he always gave me only a 2nd level high five(step in the right direction}I went to his school as his special person he was very proud to show his work, that is the day that my baby came closer to me, we play games together, he high five me and then finally a hug (oh by the way I always told him I loved Him)Most positive wonderful moment for me-----he hugs kisses me and tells me he loves me. I know I brought that child out and it the greatest moment of my life and still is,I love him so much
I really appreciate the happiness, joy, and great care you provide to my loved one....You are very kind.....
The mother told me I handled a tough situation exactly the way it should be handled, when in reality, I was shaking in my boots, wondering if it would be my last day! But, she was very understanding, and she knew it was the only and best way to handle the situation and was relieved the way I dealt with it! Whew! So thankful for this beautiful family!
Made me crafts. Paid my way to visit them. Helped us with finances. God bless my children!
A room is being built for me to do my hobbies.
I felt so very appreciated by a family when they sent me a "Happy Birthday" video on my birthday!
My children have made me feel really appreciated this week when asking me to show them how to draw some things. They love to color and draw and when it comes to homework, those kinds of things can be really tricky. So it's Mom to the rescue! :)
My family told me that I am the "one that everyone goes to". I have three sisters and lets just say my phone rings often :) Wouldnt trade it for the world!
My children often comment how much they love that I make home cooked meals every night of the week so that we can all sit down and eat together as a family so often. They also appreciate that my menu is so varied and that we eat foods from all different nationalities.
My nephew told me he loved me a hundred skittles. My son told me the house looks amazing. My niece told me I looked beautiful and my youngest nephew cleaned up without being asked while visiting. My sister told me she appreciated all my help over the weekends with the baby makes cheer and football with her older kids easier. They are sweet sometimes. Was a good week.
This one was a few years ago- a wonderful family that I have worked for years invited me over for a babysitting gig on my 21st birthday. I hadn't planned anything, so I went ahead and took the job. When I got there, they surprised me with a birthday cake and dinner with the family. After dinner (Chinese Food, my favorite!), we ate popcorn and played games. I honestly laughed until I cried. It was such a big deal to me that they not only remembered my birthday, but also felt that I was close enough with the family that we could celebrate together.
I am most proud of seeing the children smile. Even through hard times in your life, seeing a child smile will make everything so much better.
Every time I am with the family I work for the mother tells me that she appreciates everything that I do and that she could not do it without me. Also every time that I leave the kids run up to me for a hug and the little girl doesnt want to let go and tells me to stay with her. That always melts my heart.
If we don't have you, I don't know what to do. God send or you are our angel thank you.
I had my wisdom teeth teeth out. they have made sure they I am okay.
Good job...we want to have you back. The children enjoyed having you.
I always really appreciate the reviews. They provide me with a great overview of my performance and the compliments always bring a big smile to my face!
My pet sitting client posted on Facebook the celebration of their 19 year old dog who I have taken care of for nearly four years now; they said they couldn't have done it without me taking such good care of her and their other pets. Because of my love and devotion for their pets, they are able to take their vacations every year knowing I am there to look after them. That means a lot to me because I treat them like they are my own. Second, my daughters have expressed their gratitude for being their when they needed me to care for my grand kids and giving them a much needed break.
The family I was working for that moved to Nashville about six weeks ago, told me they felt so blessed to have had me as their nanny for their little boy. They said they wanted to pack me in a suitcase & take me with them.lol But I felt blessed to be a part of their family.
I recently had a birthday (The big 21) and when I went into work the day before the kids had made me different treats and decorated the kitchen and living room area to celebrate. It was so sweet, really warmed my heart.
.....she told me -Julia you are my 2 daughter)
One family that I babysit for tells me all the time that I'm there first choice. They always ask me first before anyone else.
Today the family took/paid for my car to be detailed inside and out! I was so appreciative and they didn't have to spend that extra money on me; but they did!
It was my birthday and besides giving me a gift, I got a surprise birthday party. It was moving I never expected that. I felt very appreciated.
I am incapacitated right now and Diana has been taking care of me and helping me to shower - in addition I told her there was nothing wrong with my legs so she is taking me to live music and getting me out of the house which has made me very happy and I don't know what I would have done without her! I highly recommend her in any future endeavours.
My family and I always make sure to communicate at least once a day, even if it's as simple as saying "have a nice day" that makes me feel appreciated and loved. :)
My family told me that they are so proud of my drive to succeed in life and hit all of my goals.
Our daughter just told me last week that she hopes she can raise her children as well as I raised her and her brother. She turned out to be a preschool teacher and an art major in California and her brother is a highly decorated Staff Sgt. in the Air force. There was a lot of time, hard work and discipline in raising my children and I would not have changed one minute for the world.
That I could Captain a aircraft carrier because I had the home and children running smoothly. I was always right on top of thing's and if thing's got changed I was able to change with them.
That I go above and beyond most expectations
My family took me to Disneyland with them!
My 15 year daughter out of the blue bought me a really sweet necklace and told me how much she loves me and that she thinks I am the greatest mother in world! Really was touching.

After my nephew's high school graduation, he thanked me for always being so patient with him, throughout the years, while I helped him complete his elementary school homework. He graduated with honors and is now on his way to college.
"Jeez Brianna I wish you would back in with us. My chicken never tastes good like yours" ~ My younger brother
Well my family is really supportive so when I got a letter from both National honors and Technical honors society, my family was really proud of me. Since they know all the hard work I put into my school work.
I used to have a pixie cut, and the other day, the mother of the family I have nannied for for several years, sent me a picture of one of their daughters with her new pixie-- she said she looked just like me! I'm so happy to be looked up to by the kiddos.
