Posting a job. I get many replies but when I replied back to set up a interview It takes 24 to 48 hrs before I hear from somebody. I guess only a few people have cell phones where they can take a few minutes to said yes or no .
I understand your pain, some don't even reply, they'll just read the message and leave it. It's sad and makes me think paying for all of this is a joke.
I know for me, I don't get cell service out where I live and its hard to find anywhere where you have an option of leaving 2 numbers on the applications, so mine won't get a reply till I'm back in town the next morning, then yes, there is the delay of it getting posted on the site, if thats the way of communication.
Sometimes I do not get a text or email saying I have a message. I would only want someone with a cell phone. I try to answer right away. I am sure a good person will come your way.
if you dont hear from them send a follow up message to confirm they are still interested and maybe add a couple dates and times your available to do the interview , and add that you are looking forward to meeting with them, sometimes they get busy and it slips their minds ive had clients thank me for the follow up cause they just been so busy to get back to me but the follow up is important to them and it shows that your serious about your job
I don't have much experience in this area since I don't post jobs. But as a person trying to find a cleaning job, I would respond almost immediately via text, phone call or email :)
Not sure, I apply to many jobs but don't get responses! Sounds like they aren't that interested or maybe not a good fit for you. Anyone applying should reply promptly.
When posting a job ask for both a homeline and a cellphone number.
That or phones are not checked while working. 24 hours is a fair amount of time considering people have to sit down and focus before saying yes or no. That means checking the calender, looking at the job, discussing location, ect ect. :)
I think some people only use the program on a computer and may not be able to respond right away.
If you are trying to set up an interview you should hear back from them in 6 to 12 hours.
I think people are busy. I believe they are trying to shuffle. If you have replied for an interview, they may have to juggle a couple peoples schedules. I would be patient.
Good afternoon, When you place a post and someone respond later, it is because they may not receive inbox notifications.
Please specify that they should be responsive within a certain time as your need is urgent. Also, specify that you will contact them right away if it is a good fit and look forward to connecting.
It can be difficult on both ends to communicate with the website. Sometimes messages dont show up for 24 hours, at least in my experience. If anything always make sure you're posting your job needed as early as possible that way by the time you need someone help in your home you have the lead way of finding the perfect match.
everything requires your time and effort.
I have the same problem when replying to job offers, they take long to even text back, and when they do I have to wait another day until the next reply comes back. I guess people have busy lives, or receive many texts and don't spot them right away??
Much better is wait for the offers by email or phone call meantime do another job
Not everyone does it full time and balances their full time jobs and families to supplement their income. I'm blessed to do this full time so I am constantly on the site. Keep the faith, we all need eachother. Many blessings.
Believe me i go through the same thing you just have to keep in touch with them by continuing messaging them.Has the job been filled for example .This is what you have to do its to remind them that you are still waiting on their response. Yes its a little pushy but this is what it entails in this field people get busy and they forget. Good Luck
It may be they're busy with work/families- on vacation- family emergency, etc. You're upset over 1-2 days ?!
it does take time to get response cause most people have families and also has job. Also, some of the clients may not need the worker right away and doesn't feel the need to respond right away
It is the way it is. Some are gracious enough to respond, some are not. Keep in mind that people are busy.
give them your cell number
That is so funny that you say that. It happens to me also, but I believe that some people don't get a chance to respond right away because they may be busy. When they get around to it, they will respond, and if they don't it is usually because they may be in the process of setting up several interviews.
Hello! It may actually not even be that at all. A lot of the times people haven't upgraded their accounts so they are unable to reply let alone even see the message. The replies you are getting may actually be from people who have upgraded. So you're only getting replies every once in a while because a lot of people don't upgrade. (:
Try contacting them again on Care.com if they don't contact you. Some older people don't believe in using cell phones, or don't want to pay a bill for one.
I find I respond to jobs when asked if interested and then never hear back... maybe there's a glitch somewhere? Lol
I will answer you asap when I get them
Hello, unless the applicants have paid for a premium account, it takes us right about 24 - 48 hours to get the first response! I was looking into it when I first started applying on care.com. I wasn't sure how it worked and I would go into my messages to see if anyone had gotten back with me on my applications. I would see, to allow___ to respond to your message upgrade to premium! I was so disappointed! I then started looking into it more and found out that if you do not have a premium account, it takes longer for messages to come through because instead of going straight into our mailboxes it has to go through care.com first, which takes a little longer. Once contact is made between the two of you, I've noticed that the messages start coming through immediately..... in my experience anyway. Hope this helps!
It all depends if you pay for the service where they can answer to you or if they paid for it as well.
I'm sure that clients are examining your answer, while considering other responses. The right one will come along.
yes i would love to hear about the job opportunity
24- 48 hours isn't a bad response time. Keep in mind you are providing a service , and normally professional manners dictate 24-48 hour is a reasonable amount of time to hear from a client.
My phone is always on. The problem is that care.com has a few requirements when it comes to communicating with applicants and the other way around. Care chat works but it would be way more effective if we just could have our numbers up for you to directly contact us. "Security"
Sometimes, it takes a day before we get the message. I, personally, answer within 1-2 hours after I get a reply. I then keep an eye on it to see when / if there is a reply.
they may have a busy schedule that day that they may forget to return the response. I have the opposite issues I apply to jobs and they don't respond.
I think it might be the system or the people replying to the jobs arent serious. I use to site to seeks jobs and rarely do employers respond.
Be patient they may have other things they are juggling, 2 days to determine employment is still a good timeframe.
I'm with you folks that say it's a care.com thing. I have applied to so many jobs but have had only a few responses and when I message them it seems as though it just floats in space...unless I want to pay to get to the next level. Kind of disappointing when you are looking for work!
May sound conspiratorial, but I think Care sets it up like that. An applicant told me she didn't she my message until the following day even though she was checking it.
too busy working or they just don't want to work..my opinion
yea i know. but i try to respond as soon as they contact me people like that when you answer quick.
Most of the time messages and notifications go to your email or the Care.com website and if you do not have your notifications turned on, you have to enter your email or the Care.com site to see if you have any messages. If someone is not actually checking his/her email and/or the Care.com site daily, he/she may be delayed in seeing your response. Hope this is helpful! -Someone who checks their email and site daily ;)
Probably contact them directly on their cell phone for a quicker response
I have a cell phone and as soon as a message is received for me I contact immediately.
