How do I know when a tutor as accepted my request to book them ?.

I booked a tutor for next week for something very important & I don't know if they've accepted the job or not .

You should message the tutor and see if the tutor got the request to book them.

Did you communicate with them directly and set up a meeting time? If not, they may not know you booked them.

The site should alert you when they accepted the job, the tutor also should have also messaged you one way or another to tell you they can accept.

Contact the tutor directly. Phone call is best for urgent situations! Sometimes, the tutor may be oblivious to a job acceptance.

Well, the best thing to do is probably message them for verification. If they accepted the job then they should be attentive for messages and notifications because of the short amount of time they have until it's time to do the job.

Review your messages and reach out to them via care.com, and any additional mediums, if you have exchanged contact info already. If to no avail, be sure to contact them and note this is your "last attempt to contact" them. No response: proceed to browse for other special tutors who can come to your rescue.

You set up a phone interview to agree on a starting date and time with the tutor. If the tutor accepts your request, then she can call you to confirm the day and time and place she will come to tutor your child.

They should have responded to you with a a simple thank you or telling you i will be seeing you on X date. At least thats what i do with my clients on here

Always reach out to the tutor to get confirmation, whether that is through email or their phone number. This is especially true if you have something important which cannot be delayed or rescheduled. When in doubt, always ask!

Tutors need to check often the mail on their Care accounts, and to answer ASAP the family requesting services. Care.com sends an email informing the tutor about the booking request.
