How much to pay a house keeper?
What is a reasonable price for a 3 bedroom 1 bath house that's 1,012 square foot. One level. We need all bedrooms picked up, organized and vacuumed. Kitchen cleaned and vacuumed. Maybe do dishes if there are dishes that need done. Need counters, oven, stove, microwave and table cleaned. Have a dishwasher. Living room needs picked up, dusted and vacuumed. Bathroom needs deep cleaned, swept and moped. Laundry room will need laundry done and swept and moped. In master bedroom I need it picked up and organized and vacuumed, bed made and clean clothes can be folded on the bed. My daughters bedroom needs toys picked up, organized and vacuumed. And beds made, clean clothes can be put away. 3rd bedroom will need to be organized and vacuumed and bed made. take out the trash in kitchen, bathroom, and baby's room. Can use my vacuum, broom and mop. Needs to bring their own cleaning supplies. Looking for a one time cleaning for right now but my be interested in a once a month or bi-weekly depending on cost.
I would say $130.00 for the first clean and $100.00 thereafter.
Based on the general services you are requesting a realistic amount would be anywhere between 12-15 hours.
Depends if you want to pay by the hour or a set price. I charge $15-$20 per hour, but also use my own cleaning supplies, with the exception of a vacuum and mop. How long do you think it will take, and if it's better to make it set rather than per hour.
15 to 20$ a hour
This is a big project. I suggest $15.00 an hour. BUT! This is a 2+ day project. This is my dream job. Once the house is in order the rate of pay can be negotiable.
Yes I agree. Sounds like a 2 day project at least. I would like to get it in order and I"m talking every room you discussed for $150. Then I would come at least twice a week for 6 hours each to keep it up at $12.00 per hour. If I find I couldn't keep it up then I would suggest 3 times a week at 6 hours which would cost $216.00 per week. So you might want to decrease all the items you mentioned and only come 2 times a week. Just depends on how much you want done and how much you are willing to pay.
I would say 125$ for the first visit then 100$ thereafter. This price is based upon the fact your adding organization, laundry and dishes, also it's based upon a house that's not incredibly dirty and cluttered. If house is extremely dirty/cluttered cluttered, than give her 150$ for the first time and 100$ thereafter.
I usually will do a deep clean the first time and maybe into the second time I go to a client's house, especially if it has not been cleaned for a while. It is labor intensive and takes a fair amount of muscle as well as time. If the cobwebs are hanging off the curtains and the couch has not been moved, if the top of the fridge hasn't been cleaned or the microwave, the exterior door glass or the baseboards then I feel $20-25/ hour is a fair price. Then once it's clean and you are satisfied then I will drop my price to $15/hr.I hate when I leave and your company says you don't have a good housekeeper.I want to make sure it is clean when I finish the 1st couple of days
She should charge you between 40 to 50$.
Pay by the hour and get someone who hustles when they work. Then it doesn't matter how much work you give them, because it's going to take however long it takes and you are only paying for the work actually done. I know if they provide the cleaning supplies, towels/cloths and tools, I earn $20.00-25.00 per hour for weekly cleaning, up to 30.00 per hour for a one time or monthly. If I bring all the tools and supplies, I usually make $30.00-$35.00 for weekly, up to $40.00 per hour for a one time cleaning. I also provide liability insurance, so I have that expense as well, and pay my own taxes.
if you want laundry, dishes oven cleaned organizing, and putting clothes away most of that stuff is extra and not included in standard cleaning I would say about 160 bi weekly or $275/mth
For this job, a house of this size I would charge $150
Allow a handful of housekeepers to give you a bid. And ask for at least 3 references as well. I will not take on a client unless I am able to do a deep clean first to bring the residence up to a higher standard. It makes it easier to maintain in the long run. Remember you will get what you pay for!
I charge 140 because its bi weekly if its every week 125.Good luck. All the best . Vera.S
Pay by the hour the first couple times.
I'd say $90 for first initial cleaning. After that, $50 bi weekly or $75 a month. Should take about 2-3 hours
15/hr. 3-4 hour job! Good luck!
I charge between $15.00 and $20.00 per hour.
Hello, for all of that and it being a one time/first time clean.... there's two ways a lot of housekeepers charge. A flat rate, which some choose to be paid, anywhere from 125.00 clear up to about 250.00! Some choose an hourly rate and typically you should expect to pay 25.00 up to 35.00 per hour. That would be for the first clean, because it will be a lot more work than just maintaining.... if you choose to do weekly or bi weekly then it would become less expensive because like I said, they would mostly be maintaining at that point. Expect to see charges anywhere from 70.00 to 150.00 for a flat rate to come bi weekly and anywhere from 15.00 to 25.00 hourly.... it's not always best to go with the cheapest but in my opinion, it's not really necessary to choose the most expensive either! Unless you really can afford the highest rates easily. More experienced housekeepers with all their own specialized cleansers and equipment charge more. Housekeepers that may not have the fancy equipment and are just trying to get their name out there are usually the ones on the low end of the spectrum. Keep in mind though, the most expensive in no way guarantees a better clean! Sometimes the ones charging less are willing to go the extra mile, to prove themselves and build up a good client base. Not always though! It boils down to, like most other things in life, it's trial and error. Might take a few different cleaners To find the one that suits you best!!! I hope that helps!!
if its 1 level 100. but if organizing is involved depending what kind of organizing that would be extra
35 dollars an hour. That includes labor and supply costs.
I would pay by the hour..start at $12 and if they seem to be worth that and more then income could adjust accordingly.housekeepers usually get paid $10-15 hourly
I work at Marywood University. It all depends on what needs to be done. For what your askinh for sercice anywhaer between 100.00-150.00
This post helps alot. I wondered what to charge for a similar home. This gave me a good estimate.
Will it be the same each time. Oven and deep clean bathroom each time. I would charge $60.00 but my husband and I work as a team
I generally respond more to listing where an hourly rate is set rather than a set amount of money. If you offer $50 a day and it ends up being more work than anticipated, the housekeeper is getting ripped off. If it's less, you are. Set an hourly rate and if the housekeeper works fast, she will have to expect less money. For my first job I was paid $10/hour and it worked out great.
most of my jobs are 2 to 3 hours in homes. It depends on what you want cleaned and how often.
at least 25 dollars an hour
It could be from $100 to 150
80.00 to 100.00 is reasonable.
