Am I being scammed?

> I received an email from Care.com with a parent's email, explaining they would like me to contact them about their child(ren). > I sent an email to the address I received and received an email back in response. At the end of the email I was asked to respond with my full name, address, and phone number which I did. I let the parent know that they could contact my cell if they wanted to discuss anything further. > Following my response to their response, I received a text from the second parent confirming what I was told about the pay in the email. Here's why I'm wondering if this is a scam:: In the email I was told that on top of my salary, I would be sent money for a wheelchair the would be needed. And in the text, I had to ask twice why I would be receiving money for a wheelchair. I was then told that I would receive a check in the mail with the money needed and be 'contacted with instructions on how to make a payment do it can be delivered.' I don't understand why a family with the status and money they claim to have can't order one to be delivered where they will be,1. 2, Even if they need my help to purchase it, why would they not tell me upfront the that was the plan? 3, Why would they ask for my address if I'm going to be ordering it and if I'm going to be delivering it to them. Also, the parents claim to be coming from an area far from the state where the number I was contacted from is for. Am I being scammed?

100% honest? ! I got a lagit check and some money deposited. The receipt I got back for the deposit said it would take a certain amount of days to completely be accessible. This morning the bank contacted me to say it will take an extra week. How and why would this be a scam? They have no access to my personal account, could the international check have given them some kind of access?
