Is there a way to mend socks?
I never learned how to fix socks. Is there an easy way to mend socks?
I always used an orange down in the sock and use semi heavy thread. Eorks great!! They are worth saving!
Why? Just buy fresh and possibly a better brand.
yes, if you are good with a needle and same thread as the socks. If they are thicker use thicker thread and so one. the Easiest way is to use a ball inside the sock (like the elderly used to do) possibly a hard one, and create an intersecting weave, like on a loom. Hard to explain without visual. Kinda like a spider web, first north and south, then weave through from east and west direction. This is how my grandma taught me.
No there is no easy way . You have to thread a needle and mend it.
Hello, You can turn the sock inside out and sew the tip. If you can't do that, then you can get fabric clue and mend it that way.
Mend as in sewing up holes? Or are they stretched out at the ankel? Holes can be fixed with your basic sewing of in and out
Yes! The best way to do this is to get a tennis ball, needle and thread. Thread the needle, stick the ball in the sock where the hole is and stitch the hole together with the needle.
Yes , I don't know if its easy for you ,but you get a darning needle and some yarn, preferebly the same color as the socks and you get a smooth ball or darning egg and you start darning your sock.
I've never even tried to mend socks. If you try something that turns out to be easy let me know!
I am not good at sewing at all.
you can put a tennis ball down inside the sock which helps when you start sewing them closed
So cheap nowadays...just purge and replace.!
