Live-in caregiver low cost agencys
Does anyone have a list of low cost 24/7 live-in care agency's in Massachusetts?
I am forced to find more affordable live-in care for my 83 year old mother who is in the final stages of Alzheimer disease. She is on Hospice Care. She has had round the clock care for 8 months now, at a cost of over 500.00 per day. Although she has a LTC insurance policy, it only pays about half the current caregiver cost. We're going to run out of money.
I have found 2 Live-in care agency's that charge as little as 215.00 per day. I have not found any other agency's that come close to 215.00 Although there might be some extra cost for overtime, and there will be extra food costs, it will still be a big savings,, and the LTC policy will cover all of it. This way my mother can stay in her home for years, instead of months.
I have spent many many hours looking into different agency's. Only to find all except for 2 are out of our price range.
We are about 20 miles West of Boston, MA
Thank you, Richard
Do you have Medicare for her? Check into In Home Supportive Services. I know we have that in Cali, not sure about your state. Here is what I have found on google.com: http://www.mass.gov/elders/hom... http://www.mass.gov/elders/hom... http://www.mass.gov/elders/car... http://www.carepathways.com/HC... Hope this helps you, Dirah
For Live-in caregivers, I suggest you use care.com and create your own pay scale, what's affordable to you. Agencies are great but care.com is your One Stop Shop.
Look for a trust worthy private caregiver. I recommend someone that is bonded and do background checks.
agencies will be higher cost you can try CNA on social media that would do live-ins that they live either rent free or pay partial and get paid full or partial however you want to look at it.
I never take a Job unless I Know that my Clients can afford it.If they have any worry about it I try to guide them in whats available for them and how to pay for it. It's very difficult to continue with the cost of care.Live in care can be expensive and through an agency even more so.I am going to add a Link for you to check out ~ It's all about how to pay for Senior care.I truly hope you find what you are looking for and that the benefits are filled with many Blessings.Good Luck to you sir! Here is the website you may have to Type it in.Good Luck! https://www.payingforseniorcar...
Hey Richard, I would like to chat with you, as my late husband almost drained us due to his care, I am very local to you and would love to converse further regarding this, I know how emotionally draining it is let alone the financial aspect of it, I do private caregiving presently in the mornings, but have time available, please contact me if your situation is still the same.
There are many resources available if you know how to look for it. I have extensive knowledge of LTC insurance & know the ends & outs of how they work. I have stretched LTC insurance plans meant to really last 1 1/2 years to 3 years. it sometimes helps to have a 3rd party with someone like myself who is not emotionally involved to be able to see the whole overall picture & able to use my knowledge & resources to stretch it out, save the client money & offer the family the security they need to care for their loved ones with respect & dignity for as long as they have left. In home hospice is a Great resource & knowing how they work & what is covered takes someone who knows the right plan of care & questions to ask.

Hello Richard, my name is Lori and I'm from the Co area.I have been working in clients homes for over 25 yrs and I have found that staying away from Agencies will save you lots of money. Try putting an ad out to hire your own Care Providers that way you wouldn't have to pay Agency costs plus caregiver costs. Maybe post in your local church letter or even on Craigslist! I had found a few good cases on Craigslist, just be ready to do your own background check and follow up on past employment references. It may take a week or 2 to find the perfect caregiver but with your efforts you will be able to pocket more money! Hope this helps! Goodluck! Lori
I recommend you to talk with a social worker !
What are some of the things that me as a child care provider do to keep an one year old occupied and learning
Low costs means private duty hire
$ $220 to $300 for 24hours a day
I am looking for 5 day a week live in I am asking for $200 for24 hour
Richard, I would have provided round the clock care for your mother (no overtime fees) for $200 per day and made a long term commitment as my references will attest to. I have extensive experience with Alzheimer's care and stellar references! I wish I had met you years ago! Kathleen crgvr16gmail.com
I would say reach out to family, your church or community, the internet if you have that resource see if there's anyone out there that may have something that could help you.
