When should I brush my cat's teeth?
In a pet magazine today, I saw an ad for pet toothbrushes. Interesting! I've never brushed my cats' teeth. Can is start now or is it too late? They're both older cats.
Never too late and actually pet supply and food stores have a huge variety of every dental care items in so many different thingsits amazing. I for nearly 5 years in a such store and my vet as well suggested that for my cat. Just trial and error to find what dental items they like.. my 8 yr old kitty of mine just yea...he wasn't a fan and I would not force that if it's noticeably annoying them... especially with our feline babies... they tend to fight back AND Get revenge later on haha
If you can manage it, it's very effective. If not, the dental treats can do quite well, also. I just buy treats that clean the kitties' teeth and give them every day as a mid-day snack. The 2-year-old just had her vet visit, and her teeth and gums are unusually healthy.
Brushing your cats' teeth could be a great idea and help prevent or decrease the prevalence of tooth-related problems! But this also depends on how willing your cats are to let you. Too much force could just lead to a bad situation and even hurt their mouths.
try try always. there is many guides, but go step by step, especially with touching mouth
