Do you ever shop at thrift stores for your children clothing?

I have always thrift store shopped for my kids clothing. They never have gotten new clothes that weren't from a second hand store. My oldest child is starting to notice. How can I help her learn to love the individual style of a thrift store outfit?

Yes, you can shop there but be careful, examine the item thoroughly.

Just because it's a thrift store find doesn't mean it's not good. I started a little thrift store clothing shopping myself. Take her with you and help her find things that may appeal to her and what she is looking for. However make sure her clothes are appropriate for her age and not too revealing. It can't hurt to try.

Seek out thrift stores that only accept designer labeled clothing in excellent condition. The prices will be lower than retail and, occasionally, you will find items that have never been worn still having the original sales tags in them.
