We are so grateful to the staff who cared for our child during the covid pandemic. The school is very clean, and strict guidelines were administered so that the safety of the children was maintained. I'm grateful for the wonderful experience my child had during this difficult time.

This company has so much promise and it puts so much work into it's individualized curriculum unfortunately each school is independently owned and the owners of this school do not care about anything or anyone accept money. There are many other TLE's that are worth the tuition and trust you will put into them but this is not one. It is truly a shame that the TLE corporate franchisees do not know what is happening to their brand under these individuals. I am a former employee of TLE and the owners are very threatened by the teacher's they employ who prove to know a lot about education. They are cheap, refusing to buy adequate supplies or put in the proper work for the upkeep of the school. They have nasty attitudes, constantly exhibiting unprofessional and unethical behavior as well as speaking badly about the employees when they think they are not around, sending out emails with personal information and referring to employees as "these people" which comes off very racist. They are unreliable, saying they will provide results but never delivering on their promises including promising benefits to employees but then months go by and the employees receive nothing also lying to parents about enrollment and transitions in order to gain the enrollment and the money. They are irresponsible, constantly forgetting about children's needs including medications that need to be given. They are very stubborn and set in their ways, when large groups of staff or parents leave at the same time (which happens often) they blame the teachers not once stopping in introspect to consider that it is their poor attitudes that are contributing to the overall problem. There have been many pleasant, responsible and courteous staff members that I have come across during my time at TLE but the heads of administration are anything but. Their turn over rate is completely atrocious and unnecessary resulting in low moral and the curriculum suffers as well. Only a hand full of staff has actually ever been fired, the rest have run willingly away from this school and it's unprofessional and unethical ways. They pay their teachers minimum wage, they have no benefits, the parents are overcharged and the teachers don't see a dime or it and it doesn't get put back into the school either. I would not suggest anyone come to this school unless they want an unpleasant experience. This school has lost valuable assets in Teacher's because they do not value people in a business built on people and doing things with a pure heart. After reading this review I would say reach out and contact former TLE Riverdale employees on Linked In if you would really like to know if this review is accurate. There are not many past or present employees that I know of that would not give an honest review. This school needs to be closely monitored by DOH, DOE, as well as the TLE corporate franchisees.

Loved this school. We are sad that we only found this school when our daughter turned 4 and not sooner, but very happy that she was able to participate in the PreK program at this school. We enrolled her in the Half day PreK program on the basis of TLE's better curriculum that incorporated STEM concepts through out the year and fun Interactive board for children to learn from. The entire curriculum was more cognitively challenging compared to the common core curriculum that is done in other programs. The teaches Ms. Sheena and Ms. Georgia were truly sweet and cared for my child and her development.
Ms. Anita has been wonderful resource and wealth of information.
The team at large is nice and I highly recommend this program to all.

My child graduated from this school in June this year and I couldn't be happier about my decision of putting him in the half day PreK program with extended care.A lot of people in the neighborhood discouraged me and my wife and told us that we should go with a program that offers a full day PreK spot and send our kid to an after school program elsewhere.
We however felt very comfortable with the way the administration at Tle spoke to us and listened to all our questions.A year later my child had done well in all aspects and is happy child.

My only advice, look at the program in its entirely and then make an informed decision.Don't go blindly with any program.

The learning experience was more than we can ask for it was challenging in its moments but overall my child Abel had the best learning experience we can ask for !
The good part: many teachers at TLE are simply wonderful and they love the children!
The bad part: the staff turnover is very high, so the continuity of care suffers greatly. The teachers get no benefits, are being paid minimum wage, so the moral is quite low; they end up leaving and this is obviously reflected in the care our children receive.
The manager, Surbhi, is inflexible, cheap and basically a rip off. All she cares about is how to cut corners and make more money and has the nerve to not honor the UPK initial contract and increase the middle of the school year!
Conclusion: take your children elsewhere!
Our daughter Olivia started at the Learning Experience shortly after her 2nd birthday. She adjusted to her new environment pretty much just as Surbhi and her classroom teacher Celina had said she would, which was quite comforting, since leaving your little one in the hands of others for the first time is so challenging. Olivia quickly loved her new school, the teachers, her new friends who call her name every morning like Norm on Cheers, and the programming. We immediately started seeing her learning things which amazed us at her age, the days of the week, all her colors, counting to 20 all accurately! All these months later, she has flourished at TLE, and I am so happy. It feels like a family there, combined with a wonderful learning environment where your child will grow in every way. It's a fantastic place.
