My Daughter has been attending this center for the past 6 months and we have never been happier! The staff is loving and helpful with any of our requests.

Great program, but be cautious when choosing this child care center.

I was one of the first parents to put my kid in here for preschool around 2008 when it first opened.

At first I loved this place. The staff was kind, the parents were close and I felt a real sense of community for the first time since I moved to Blackwood in 2004. I loved how TLE offered "Parents Night Out" and Family Night at Bounce U. At the time, most of the staff were college educated and I felt that my child was in the hands of very competent and caring people. Fast forward to when my kid started elementary school and was there only for before and after care. That is when I started to encounter some problems with the owner, Mr. Lee Handis. It became very apparent to me that he did not know how to talk to people and was hyper focused on the bottom line. On one occasion around the middle of June, he walked up to me with an attitude and told me that I owed money because the school year had ended and the rate increased for full time. That would have been a okay encounter if 1) I had previously been informed of the rate and 2) I had been approached with respect. On another occasion, he asked to see my bank account, be he believed that I had not paid the month. What he failed to realize is that I have paid ahead for the month on the 31st on the previous month. What parent wants to share personal bank account information in order to have their child continue to attend. They also attempted to charge me more for using my credit card. However, what one should realize is that it is illegal for a merchant to charge a client more money because they don't want to absorb the fees associated with using Visa and/or Mastercard.

Fast forward to 2017, I had my 3-year-old son enrolled for before and after care so that he could be transported to the preschool disabilities program in the school district while my husband and I worked. This is where the proverbial "ish" hit the fan. My son has a speech delay and tends to get aggressive when he cannot express himself. While I understand that can be a challenge, Mr. Lee did nothing to try to work with him in order to make the situation work. In fact, he monitored my son on the cameras and complained that he was causing the kids to run away from him. Never did he mention that there was another kid that I personally seen up in my son's face and taunting him, which caused him to become aggressive. I only mentioned that because I personally witnessed it when I picked him up.

Mr. Lee personally informed me that he didn't think that my son could attend there for full days and that he didn't want to charge me for my son to have a personal aide. I paid $180 for his first week and Mr. Lee called me on day 2 around 5pm demanding to know when I was going to pick him up. Day 3, my son had a good day. Day 4, apparently, my son bit a kid. Mr. Lee informed us that if it happened again, he would be out.
On both the 4th and 5th day, I dropped my son off around 7:40am and he called us to inform he needed to be sent home because of his behavior problems.

Please know that if you have a child with special needs, the ADA act, IDEA act, and the NJ LAD laws makes it so that child care center have to at least make attempts to make the situation work. I know for a fact that if my son was allowed some slight modifications, the program could have worked for him. However, Mr. Lee did not even try. He basically took our money, knowing that my kid was going to a program for being preschool disabled and gave us the message that he didn't think TLE was a good fit and that we need to find another daycare. Please realize that that meant that a week before the Gloucester Township preschool disabilities program started, I had to scramble to find other child care arrangements.

Mr. Lee Handis, you have a great program on your hands, but you must learn some people skills and not be so focused on your bottomline.

My daughter attended TLE for 2 years. Everything was ok for the most part. (I did witness a teacher pinch a child on the arm and say how do you like it?, after the child pinched another child) Then one day my daughter came home, covered head to toe in a horrible rash. It looked liked welts all over her. Turns out she's allergic to mold! Which was continuously growing on the playground mulch! The owner Lee is so cheap! We told him, remove the mulch, put down new mulch, keep it as dry as possible ( they have water play and the mulch was repeatedly soaked), problem solved. He did put down new mulch, but didn't remove the old, essentially giving the mold food to grow! We even offered to pay for it, and he was still too ignorant to care! Also, the girls in charge, Nicole and Alex, and the teachers, could definitely use more training. Most seemed very unhappy. Like they were just working there because they couldn't get a job any where else. So basically, if you're willing to put blinders on, not complain, and just go along with the program, your kid will be fine here.
The Learning Experience in Blackwood is a superior learning center. My son has been attending for 4 years and I have been very pleased. The staff and management are great! I would recommend this center to anyone looking for child care.

My Wife and I have nothing but positive things to say about this center! We have two young boys and my wife is currently pregnant. We know that we can trust the TLE in Blackwood with our infant once born. Our boys have learned so much since being at this center. Our oldest son constantly impresses our family members and friends when he talks to them in full sentences at just 2 years old. We always give credit to the wonderful teachers this center has.

DO NOT SEND YOUR CHILD HERE!! This place cannot manage multiple children! They have violated HIPAA laws. My sons information including medical records has been misplaced and has been compromised. My personal identity information has been compromised due to the lack of responsibility and intelligence running this joke. Further more, when I went to pick up my son this afternoon, he had gone missing. For 10 minutes not one staff member of the or the owner Mr. Lee, could find my child or know where he was. Thankfully my child was found safe outside!!! The owner has a horrible sense of running a business and shows no care or individuality to the children! This is not the place to send your child!!
Love this center! The owner and directors have all been there for years. They are there every single day and whenever there's an issue it's resolved immediately. Although I never really have any issues. His curriculum is the best in town and he matches the public schools. My kid actually got into the gifted and talented program and I swear it's because of the curriculum! They come home with the craziest art activities. I'm pregnant right now and I can't wait until my little guy gets into his center because the infant room is awesome. He works with me on tuition and he serves a full breakfast and lunch every single day!

This Learning Center is totally awesome! The director, Nicole, is hands on and has the gift to multitask. The staff is loving and hard working. They ensure that your child is happy and learns. My two grandsons attend and my five year old grandson could easily fit into any first grade class now. My three year old grandson is also doing quite well and continues to progress.

I love the facility and the diversity of the children and their patents. I love that they greet the children by their name with warm words, I love that they have strucutre and teach the children. I live that if you have a concern, they deal with it and make it better! I could go.

I had a horrible experience here for my 8 month old. She was only there for 2 months and I had to pull her out. It started when I saw the afternoon teacher put another kid's pacifier in her mouth. When I informed her that was not my child's pacifier she apologized and said oh I'm not sure who this belongs to. I was furious. Then after that they called me saying that another child was trying to hug my baby and knocked her over and she hit her face and it left a red mark. When I picked her up and read the report I later found out that she was actually bit by the other kid. When I spoke to the owner he stated that the other child is too old to be in that class so at times he gets bored and that he would be transitioning out. My thoughts were 1, why didn't they inform me of the bite over the phone and 2. I don't care if he is bored you need to either get him out of that class room right away or pay more attention to the kids. After a few days I realized that they never moved the other child. He was still in the classroom when I pulled her out. And finally they claim they require adults to remove their shoes before entering the infant room, but they don't. I picked up my 8 month old daughter and the teacher had given her a bottle. As I pulled the bottle away to strap her into her car seat I noticed she was chewing on something. I opened her mouth and I was furious to find my daughter chewing on mulch while drinking her bottle. All the teacher said was that one of the older kids may have brought it in on the bottom of their shoes when they went outside. After that I immediately pulled her out of that daycare. They clearly did not care about the safety of my daughter.
This is the best school in the area. Both of my kids have been here for 3 years.
