New Century Montessori Academy (NCMA) is the perfect school choice for your child. I am not going to talk about the amazing and beautifully constructed building; I will let you experience that for yourself when you go to enroll your child.

However, what I am going to tell you is that ever since I was introduced to NCMA and throughout the many years I have known and dealt with the people there, I must admit that the director, staff, and teachers at NCMA have shown to be people of great charisma and friendly personalities with many years of experience in their respected fields of education. They provide the ultimate care and support for their students to help them succeed and excel. They work collectively to facilitate a nurturing environment by dedicating themselves and giving the time and effort required for each student to become the best they could be, not only in their academics but also in all other aspects of life.

Surely, safety is one of the major concerns at schools in our communities. Even though many school buildings, including NCMA, meet and satisfy all the security measures and standards that every parent would be concerned about and is looking for, many parents tend to overlook the importance of the safety of their children while being in the hands of someone who is a stranger to them. If you happen to be one of those parents, let me tell you the way the entire NCMA's family embrace their students is outstanding and reassuring for parents, making them feel that their children are in good hands. The ongoing support and total acceptance of the uniqueness of each student's skills and abilities instill confidence and hope within their students to keep moving forward to create their future and become world leaders who can bring about positive change within their communities. The school's director and the teachers work tirelessly and hand in hand with parents of new students to ensure a complete and smooth transition for their children.

Additionally, what makes NCMA unique from other schools, in my opinion, is the interactive teacher-parent communication system, which is attributed to the high degree of transparency, accountability, and integrity when addressing specific issues or concerns. The school's staff do not leave any questions from parents unanswered. I also liked the fact that parents are valued as partners in the decision-making process regarding their child's academic status and performance. Furthermore, I highly appreciate the joint efforts made by both the director as well as the teachers to help and guide parents into the specifics of how to deal with their children at home which may reflect positively or negatively on their performance at school.

Lastly, I would like to mention that no one can be 100% perfect. Problems can happen anywhere, but the way in which we choose to approach or react to certain situations is what determines the outcomes.

My son and daughter were both enrolled in New Century Montessori Academy for two years. My son started there in primary and has shown no advancement. I was told that the problem was my son, so I got him into see specialists, all of whom said my child was receptive to learning. I set up meetings with the teachers and director and we came up with a plan to help get him on track. They did not follow through with any of the promises they made during the meeting. Then I started noticing changes in my son. He became withdrawn, hardly ever smiled and was scared to try anything new for fear of failing. I became concerned, kids shouldn't have worries like that. I requested access to the classroom camera (a service they tout as being provided but then they deny you access). Seven days later they granted me access to the camera in my son's classroom and I saw that he was being singled out by the teacher and humiliated. Unfortunately this was not the first time she had done this to him. I had caught her on several occasions singling him out but she would always explain it away or blame my child. She would have him sit in the middle of the rug and gather the other children around him and make him an example because he was slow to clean up or he started crying. In my opinion she bullied my child and encouraged other children to do so as well. Also, on the day I pulled him out because of her ostracization of my child, the school contacted my ex-husband to ask what was wrong instead of having a conversation with me. If there are ANY other options available to you I implore you to consider those first.
