Vovo's Day Care

Vovo's Daycare is a bilingual child home care program with a current capacity of eight children. This ten year old existing program was re-established in 2014 by the current provider who, as a former assistant, decided to take over this family business.Since then, many children have found a home at Vovo's from the time of their infancy until turning five years old, upon entering Kindergarten. Through active play, this Daycare highlights the basic age appropriate development in literacy, number sense, art, and science. Interpersonal social skills involve listening to and singing songs or playing games in either small group or independently. These activities reinforce following directions appropriately and attending cooperatively. Most importantly, Vovo's daycare proudly prepares children to become socially and emotionally equipped citizens to face and overcome obstacles in their world. As stated by the well-respected Brazilian physician, psychiatrist, psychotherapist and writer Augusto Cury, whose philosophy this daycare shares, "we need more PROFESSIONALS that help people become authors of their OWN LIFE STORY even when the WORLD comes crashing down on their shoulders."
