The Gan Early Learning Center

The Gan Early Learning Center at Fox Chapel Chabad plans to open its doors to families with children ages 15 months to 4 years in September 2015. Its curriculum is inspired by the up-and-coming Reggio Emilia Educational Approach to the area, focusing on early childhood education.

This approach fosters children's intellectual development, as they are encouraged to explore their environment and express themselves through words, movement, drawing, painting, playing and other natural modes of expression.

The Gan was created to serve the needs of the growing Jewish population. We have created an emotionally-safe learning environment where our children feel empowered to explore ideas, skills and an understanding of self. At our center, children, teachers, family and community in a positive and constructive early childhood experience. Our Jewish values drive the curriculum, environment and school culture. We model and encourage kindness, respect, compassion, confidence and responsibility.

Children will enjoy a setting where they can develop the critical thinking and problem solving skills for a successful and meaningful life.
