My 2 year old son has been at Talenos for over a year now. Before that, my daughter was there for 2 years until she started pre-school. In addition to the convenience of the location, we choose talenos because it is a safe, relaxing and fun place for both kids and busy working parents. My daughter is in 1st grade now and is always excited about her Spanish class and proud of her Spanish skills.

I am grateful and feel very lucky that we found Talentos for my son, who has been there since he was 8 months old and is now 3. Lucy has a kind, calm, and gentle manner with the kids. It is a loving environment and a true little community. I really like the way she disciplines the kids. My husband and I have learned a lot by watching her about how to diffuse our son's temper tantrums (which was of huge help when he turned two). I have also seen my son apply principles he has learned at Lucy's house other places. For example, at the playground, he takes turns, shares, and looks out for littler kids and I absolutely credit this behavior to Lucy. She also goes out of her way to do extra things we never would have expected, including having parties for the kids during her time off and organizing field trips. Unlike other home daycares, she always gets coverage on the rare occasion when she needs to be out which is a huge relief as a working parent. The immersion environment in Spanish was also something we were looking for and I have been pleased with both the English and Spanish language he has learned.

We just moved from Chapel Hill to Knoxville and our daughter was at Talentos with Lucy Rodriguez for 3 1/2 years. It was a wonderful experience for my daughter and for us as a family. Lucy was a part of our family and we were a part of hers. I am still sad we are without her. My daughter's spanish comprehension is remarkable and her empanada making skills are impeccable. I highly recommend Talentos of you are looking for a home environment as opposed to a day care facility.
