I was referred to Synergy through another agency handling backup, live-in home health care for my 100-year-old, World War II hero/veteran grandfather. Synergy immediately latched on to the reservation and said they would staff it, so the agency booked them - nearly a month in advance of the start date. I was given continual assurances by Synergy that they were fully prepared to provide a home health aide for a period of 18 days while my grandfather's live-in caregiver was away. Just two days before my grandfather's live-in was going on leave, I found out through a system-generated cancellation via email that Synergy backed out. I started calling and Synergy ghosted me - first no response from Janet who had been VERY eager to take the assignment and had many emails and phone calls. Then, I finally got hold of the owner, Casey, on Oct 11 who was full of excuses, but promising to call me back the next day with any potential options which I waited for since we had nowhere to turn given Synergy's unprofessional, lack of care and notification. Casey, the franchise owner, never followed-up on his promise to call me back. My family is left with no help for a 100-year-old man who served his country for years. I would have been better off if I had never heard of Synergy, as given the 1-month lead time I would have found a caregiver myself.

I would 100% choose a different home health provider since anyone in need of these services knows you need to partner with a company that is reliable, trustworthy and communicative.

Synergy Homecare metro NJ was very helpful when we needed care for our Father. They were kind and compassionate and really knew so much about the Homecare process. The office was so nice.We were able to bring him him home with their help and the caregivers they sent were so supportive and caring. It really was a relief to know our loved one was in such good hands. We highly recommend Synergy and their care team!
