Hi, I am Wendy and I absolutely love being a pet care provider. Having had the honor of working at an animal hospital for over 20 years, I was able to work in all departments from cleaning kennels, giving medications, veterinarian assisting, receptionist to office manager.
Being a cat owner myself, I, too, have had to find a sitter. I truly know the trust it takes in selecting the right person to not only care for your pet, but, your home as well. My hope is to make this as comfortable a process as possible so you can enjoy your time away with no worries.

I've been using Sit, Cat, Stay as my cat sitting service for a while now. I have 2 adopted cats that need care and affection when I'm out of town on business.
Wendy has always gone above and beyond to take care of my pets and even noticed when they weren't feeling well and has helped administer medicine while I was away. My cats love her and I'd be pretty lost without her!
I highly recommend her services. You won't find a better sitter that actually cares about your furry family members!

Wendy has been my cat sitter a little over a year. I have one cat who is very very skittish and likes to go on hunger strike in the pet hotel. When I interviewed cat sitters, Wendy was the only one he didn't hide from - he sat in the doorway of the room. That doesn't sound like much but for him that's a big deal. After a year of love and patience, he now goes about his day whenever Wendy is there, and most recently accepted a few ear scratches from her! She's the only person besides me who he has allowed to touch him.
She's 100% reliable, I love that she checks in before I leave and before I return. She is always ready for an extra night if my plans change and she sends me pictures of the cats while I'm away.
Also, very important -- I trust Wendy with the keys to my house and to be there while I'm away.

I am posting this so late but I have to share how great it was to use Sit Cat Stay over Vday weekend this year. Wendy came to my house to meet me and I felt comfortable with her and my kitten for a few days. He was just neutered so I didn't want him to be alone. She sent me lots of text updates and pictures which made me feel great. Highly recommended!

Wendy was the perfect choice when I traveled out of the country for two weeks. She visited my place beforehand to meet my cat and discuss her qualifications and my needs. Her extensive experience at an animal hospital was reassuring, and her approach was both professional and flexible. I felt like I was leaving my kitty with a friend. We had some technical problems connecting online, but she did send updates and pics, which I appreciated. Wendy was great with my cat...not quite as great with my plants... : ). (But everything was alive, which was all I asked, and I appreciated the assist--above and beyond!)
My cat tends to be a little standoffish at first... He seemed to warm up to Wendy quickly, however, which says a lot. I highly recommend Wendy; I will definitely call her again.

Wendy did a fabulous job sitting my senior cat for nearly 2 weeks during the Christmas holiday. She provided updates along the way which really helped ease my mind. Typically, when I return from trips, my cat is agitated, but not after being cared for by Wendy. I definitely recommend her services.

I left my two bunnies in Wendy's care over Christmas break and I came back to them liking her more than me and a bit chunkier! Whatever kind of pet care you need she will do. She is a caring and agreeable person and really does petsit for all of the right reasons.
Whenever I am out of town from now on I will be calling her! She was great, affordable, and really a refreshing person for the buns to be around.

We were initially looking for a sitter for the holidays but then needed to call on someone for a quick weekend get away. Wendy came to our rescue and we received phenomenal service from her.
Our cats can tend to be very picky about who they like and we were happy to see that they did not seem to hesitate with Wendy. She sat on the floor while talking with us and the cats approached her and seemed very content.
We came home today and the old litter was taken out of the house and the cat food cans were washed clean and put in bin. She even vacuumed the litter area!!!
We plan on using Wendy for the holiday plans and any future trips.

Ms. Wendy has been a very valuable employee of Fairfax Aniaml Hospital for 20 years. We have called on Wendy to cat sit for some of our most timid or sickly patients and we have had a great response from these owners. She is always willing to help out where she can.
