Roots And Wings Family Development Center

We have been providing high quality child care and education in a unique home like environment for over 30 years in Thousand Oaks. We have had the pleasure of educating over 5000 children in our community since 1984. Children at Roots and Wings have had the opportunity to explore our spacious well-equipped playground, dress up and pretend in a wonderful custom loft playhouse that changes themes monthly, exercise creativity daily through a myriad of authentic art experiences and be well prepared for Kindergarten through daily literacy, math and science curriculum.

Central to our program is the provision of primary caregivers. Each child is assigned a staff person who is primarily responsible for the child's well being. This person will provide the majority of care for your child and will communicate with you regarding your child's growth, development and daily needs. Another important aspect of our program is the use of lower staff to child ratios and smaller group sizes than most conventional facilities and the tenure of our staff, many of whom have been employed for 10-15 years.
