About the business
LittleLiving is a Reggio Emilia inspired Infant/Toddler Learning Center set in a licensed small home daycare where your little one can wonder, marvel, explore, discover, delight, share, learn, play and socialize with peers, adults, animals and nature.
Here our facilitators, you- the parent, and the children collaborate. As a team we build a solid educational foundation for your child. Together through keen observation and portfolio/project documentation, we ensure important learning/developmental milestones are reached. Through our play based, emergent curriculum we uncover the children's interests and the pathways through which to immerse them in various subjects-- science, math, reading, language, art, music, movement and social studies. Together we empower our children to be independent, well rounded, well socialized caretakers of our planet and each other.
Our low student to teacher ratio of no more than 2:1 (2:1 for children 2 and under) ensures your little one receives individualized attention, feels safe, loved and reaches age appropriate educational, social, physical and mental milestones.
LittleLiving provides an intimate nature and arts rich experience. Our beautiful outdoor garden rooms host a variety of plants and wildlife, as well as sculptures and art. We dine in this setting whenever possible and always in family style at a table set with the help of the children.
Delicious, home cooked, well balanced vegetarian meals and snacks, using organic and locally grown foods, are served daily. We follow the USDA guidelines and participate in the CNPSC (food program). Seasonal foods will be tended and grown by the children. Gardening, composting, harvesting and sharing meals provides opportunities for learning about the cycle of life, our food, cooperation and social skills.
Our facility is eco-friendly, utilizing and encouraging gardening, recycling, composting, and the use of organics. We support and encourage cloth diapering.
LittleLiving provides a clean, safe, homey, nature infused space for children to thrive, learn, play and BE little. We look forward to working with you in nurturing your littles so they become all they wish to be.
Year round enrollment. Program follows North City schools' calendars; F/T or P/T; Monthly/bi-Monthly Tuition; 9 or 12 mo contracts. Rate depends on Program/Age. We invite you to view our website at filteredliving.com. for more detailed information and our rates.
