Family childcare is a home away from home. It is a warm, caring, safe, environment for your child. It is supportive and responsive to the cognitive, emotional, and developmental needs of the children. It is a smoke free environment. During the day, the children are involved with a routine that includes meals, activities, indoor, outdoor play, caregiver directed, free play, that is child directed. My childcare follows the Creative Curriculum. I have a separate 350 sq.ft. playroom complete with materials and equipment for children to engage and explore. I offer breakfast, am snack, pm snack, lunch, and dinner. There is a patio play space and a large outdoor play area. Children are engaged with reading, puzzles, art projects, science exploration and discovery, cooking, math, culture, group activities, individual playtime, music, social emotional, and character education. Mixed age groups teach children to take care of each other developing empathy with successful social interactions.My program is a natural learning environment through play experiences. Each child has the opportunity to explore materials and toys which will help them develop a positive self image and confidence in their abilities. I encourage family involvement in my program which enhances your child's growth and development. It is an important partnership between families and myself to promote communication and stability for your child. We enjoy holiday gatherings for lunch with your child and other activities throughout the year. It is a way to meet other families share ideas and experiences. I believe it takes a village to raise a child. I take great pride in my family childcare home. I earned my AA and AS degree in Early Childhood Education which is my chosen profession. I am here to support and supplement the love and care you give your child at home.
