"Harmony Hill" is a Companion Service for Senior Citizens. I provide support and assistance to those who wish to maintain their independence while continuing to live in the comfort of their home. "Harmony Hill" offers a variety of services to clientele who require a helping hand with daily living skills and activities (non-medical). The philosophy of "Harmony Hill" is to foster autonomy and socialization to each client we serve. Enabling an individual to have a choice has a direct effect on their social, emotional, physical and mental well being. This in turn, provides piece of mind for family members and all those involved with the client's care.
Earning a college degree in Social Services and a career as a Nursing Home Social Worker, has given me the opportunity of hands on experience working with the elderly from the independent to skilled and those diagnosed with Alzheimer. The following are the services that "Harmony Hill" provides:

*Assist with mail/bills/letters
*Medication reminders
*Meal preparation
*Light housekeeping/keeping house clutter free
*Provide pet therapy or help take care of clients pet
*Borrow books, books on tape, music CD's from local library
*Play board games that are mentally stimulating
*Provide laptop to teach client to write email to family
*Go for walks
*Cook/bake favorite recipes together
*Garden activities
*Deliver newspaper of choice (crossword puzzles!)
*Drive to doctor appointments, beauty salon, pharmacy, grocery store, religious services, etc.
