G-Iron Tutor is a tutoring organization that is committed to the empowerment of learners of all ages! G-Iron (or Irma) uses creativity, humor, and a deep understanding of education to spark an interest in its students to shape the world around them.
G-Iron Tutor began as G-Iron Science by using one-on-one tutoring, group interactions, and technology to educate the world.
G-Iron Tutor is Christian-based with an aim to promote honesty, discovery, and respect for all of God's creatures and systems
Irma "G-Iron" P. founded G-Iron Tutor (formerly G-Iron Science) in 2012. Originally from Los Angeles, CA, G-Iron received her B.S. in Molecular Bioscience and Biotechnology from the Rochester Institute of Technology in Rochester, NY. She then continued her education at Niagara University in Lewiston, NY with an M.S. in Secondary Biological Sciences in Teacher Education. Despite her two degrees, she found her love of improvisational, stand-up, and sketch comedy taking a deeper hold the more she pursued academia. Then a light bulb turned on! G-Iron wanted to share her love of knowledge in a way that was both entertaining and educational while uplifting God. So G-Iron Tutor was born.
G-Iron currently lives in Atlanta, GA with her husband Dan and her puppy Lasagna. She also really loves spinach (probably because of the high iron content).
And welcome our newest tutor on board: Jennifer!!
'I attended Pensacola Christian College and transferred to Atlanta Baptist College where I received my bachelor's degree in Christian Elementary Education. I have taught in private christian schools for the last 6 years and am certified through GACS and ACSI. I love seeing the "aha" moment through the mind of a child, and I absolutely love teaching.Whether I'm working with a struggling student who gets it for the first time or a gifted student who makes their own connection to subject matter, the learning process is dear to me! Teaching isn't just my job; it is my hobby, my passion, and my God-given calling.
