I have trained dogs for 17 years and began to actively compete with my dogs in performance events seven years ago, so far obtaining over 16 titles with my dogs in Obedience, Agility, Rally Obedience and Hunt Testing.

I am a current member of APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers), the HDTC (Hamilton Dog Training Club) where I am the newsletter editor and teach the Novice Competition Obedience Class, and am an AKC Canine Good Citizen Evaluator.

I do In-Home Training, Board & Train in my home environment, teach Group Obedience classes for Puppies and Adult Dogs, and occasionally will do boarding for owners going on vacation at my home.

I have taught group dog obedience classes for four years, ranging from Pet Manners classes to Competition Obedience and various levels of Agility.

My past experience includes two years working for SISCA (a limited intake shelter) as a dog kenneler, walker, and trainer, working with hundreds of dogs of all breeds, two years volunteering for Pet Behavior and Training Services (a non-profit organization that operates under a certified veterinary behaviorist) as a behavior counselor, and two years volunteering my time to provide solid online behavioral and training advice for Doggiedoor. com & K9U. com. I regularly attend seminars given by the country's leading dog trainers.

My current pets include four dogs and one cat. I have previously owned cockatiels (I can do hand feeding), hamsters, gerbils, rabbits, goldfish, tropical fish, and an iguana. I previously worked on a children's educational farm and am experienced with livestock & horse care (goats, sheep, chickens, pigs, cows, etc)
