I'm Rick. Weary of the workings of corporate IT, I left a successful career in March 2008 to start hanging with dogs for a living. More than five years and scores of happy clients later, I'm still cubicle-free and going strong. My re-imagined life is good!

MID-DAY DOG WALKS

I serve most in town Atlanta neighborhoods, including Decatur. Rain or shine, hot or cold, I'll walk with your dog in your neighborhood, visiting, talking, and, of course, being neighborly by picking up the poop along the way. I'll be devoted to your dog for 30 - 45 minutes and often times more. Back home, I make sure feet are clean and water bowl is washed and refilled. Then it's dog hug and out the door.

More than one dog? No problem! I don't charge extra as long as they don't act like wild orangutans. Nice, right?

Paying is easy. I'll email a bill toward the end of each month that you can pay conveniently online. I'm also happy to set it up to auto-bill each month.

$17 per walk
Usual hours are 10:30 - 3:30, M-F, but if you have a need outside those hours, ask away!
I don't charge extra for nights, weekends, and holidays. Never have. The price is the price.

AT-HOME CARE WHEN YOU TRAVEL

When you travel, I'll care for your dog, cat, or bird as if they were my own. Be at ease knowing that they are in your own home instead of a noisy, stressful kennel being exposed to goodness knows what. I do not charge extra if you have more than one pet. I'm sweet that way.

I'll visit as many times as you wish to walk, feed, visit, clean up, and offer plenty of affection. I'll adjust the lights and blinds, bring in mail and newspaper, move trash cans out and back, and tend to your plants ... all so the house doesn't look empty to passers-by and is warm and welcoming when you return home.

For cats, I do much more than pop in to feed-scoop-spook and leave. If your kitty is friendly and comfortable, I'll play with her, pet her, or let her sit on my lap ... whatever she wants. If she is skittish, then I will sit and read a book and try to be a comforting presence for 30 - 45 minutes. I have nearly as many cat clients as dog clients. I have two cats of my own who are 8 and 6, and I've had cats all my life. So, yeah, I'm flying dingo, but "cats R us", too.

Dogs: $45 for three visits per day / Cats/birds: $17 per visit
Additional visits for dogs/cats/birds are $15.
