EmpowerME Preschool and Childcare programs make quality early childhood education accessible to all young children, by making it affordable, even on a single income budget. The same level of quality care is extended to school-age children on all days thatschool is closed. The home-like environment, emphasis on values and culturally responsive programming encourage self-expression and emphasize social-emotional development, ensuring children become positive members of the community. Our approach to providing quality preschool ensures children will successfully transition to kindergarten, both meeting the California Preschool Guidelines for pre-academic attainment and because children are empowered to name their emotions, negotiate conflict, act independently, and communicate their needs– all skills that are crucial as they enter a learning environment with higher expectations and teacher: student ratios. Our school-age Non-School Day care programs continue nurturing our children by: diving deeper into our values and creating opportunities for them to demonstrate those values in peer interactions, while also, maintaining bonds created in earlier EmpowerME environments. Designed to be a safe, fun, affordable resource to working families, we are currently enrolling for our Preschool Program and a Pre-K/Kinder Program. EmpowerME's warm, nurturing environment, works in partnership with families to provide individualized learning that supports your child's development. Our Preschool Classroom serves children ages 2 and up (must be potty trained). Highlights of the preschool program include: -Values-reinforcement activities to build positive members of the community -Cognitive, emotional, social, physical and language skill development that produces a lifelong love of learning -Introductory curriculum for letters, numbers, shapes, colors, writing, math and science in alignment with California Preschool Learning Foundations -Play-based environment with intentional learning activities -Healthy morning & afternoon snacks -Flexible schedules and enrollment options Our All Day-Pre-K/Kinder classroom is perfect for 4/5/6 year-olds who are mastering skills for kindergarten entry (as determined by the California Preschool Learning Guidelines) AND kindergarteners in need of supplemental learning during before and after school childcare.
