Destin-e Learning Center (family Child Care)

Destin-E Learning Center is a Family Child Care setting exclusively designed to provide a warm, secure environment for children with and without learning disabilities. Children will learn, explore, and grow at their own pace. Your child will also learnsocial and life skills along with an academic curriculum developed to meet their individual need. I have worked with a General Education and Special Education Curriculum using research based fundamentals. The disabilities I have worked with are; Autism, Asperger, Multiple Disabilities, Learning Disability, Cognitive Impaired, Down Syndrome and Cerebral Palsy. Although all disabilities carry their own special features, I am qualified to teach them all at their individual need. <br/> <br/>The typical daily structure will include, Hands on activities, Literacy, Math and Listening Stations, Circle Time, Arts and Craft, Movement and Music, Dramatic and Outdoor Play, Breakfast, Lunch and Snack will be served daily. <br/> <br/>I have a M.Ed. degree and a Post Baccalaureate in Autism. I am licensed through the VA Dept. of Education. I have worked with children for over 15 years with and without special needs ranging from preschool to 5th grade. Within my daycare there are other care providers that work with me as well. This will ensure that each child is given adequate and special attention. Everyone has been cleared through child protective services and background checks. We are certified with First Aid and CPR (infant and child). The environment I have created is nurturing, safe and a fun place to learn.
