We are an owner-operated non-medical home care agency that provides companion and personal care to aging clients. We also provide transportation, hourly and live-in care, end of life planning, and care coordination.

The agency owner lives and works in Guilford and is easily accessible. By choosing to work with an agency, you get the following benefits:

* all caregivers are our employees, so we withhold all their taxes, pay their social security, workers comp, and liability insurance;

* all our caregivers go through rigorous training and have cleared national background checks, sex offender and elder abuse registries;

* when your caregiver is on vacation or ill, we provide a replacement caregiver so your schedule is not interrupted;

* our Client Care Coordinator and Schedule stay in touch on a weekly basis and oversee all care;

* we use a telephony system where our caregiver clocks in and out of the client's home by calling a toll free number from the client's home phone;

* we provide one live-in caregiver per case, not breaking the week up in order to not pay overtime for the caregiver under the new FLSA overtime guidelines. Many agencies reportedly are rotating 2-4 live-in caregivers per week to avoid paying overtime;

* since our live-in caregivers are our employees, you do not need to obtain liability insurance, workers' compensation, withhold for social security and taxes. You also, at the end of service, do not need to evict them as a tenant if they refuse to leave;

When you hire a registry or a private caregiver directly, you run the risk of landlord/tenant issues as well as you open yourself up to direct liability on the part of the caregiver. We feel strongly about agency employer-based caregivers because we hold the liability, shielding the seniors from it. We are fully insured and our caregivers are bonded.
