Both of my kids attend Children of America for the last 5 years and they love it! Its a very good Daycare with awesome and creative teachers. There are classes of sign language for the babies, numerous musical activities and a lot of arts and crafts. They have nice outdoor Playground, which my kids LOVE and indoor Playroom too with an awesome ball pit. And moreover, I like it too. I'm always at peace knowing that they are in good hands, while I'm working.

I guess anyone is given a job for the sake of keeping a company in business because this is by far the WORST place you could bestow your child for care. From my knowledge, the teacher/aid turnover rate is high because of low pay, add a pandemic to the mix of no one wanting/being able to work and you get a recipe of unethical and no quality care from the teachers for your LO. The teachers in the preschool do NOT care at all and possibly hates their job. Anyone with a brain will be able to see it in weeks if not a few days and should run if you care at all how about your child is being treated while your temporarily gone.

Needless to say my son was crying in agony for the first two weeks with no redirection or attempt to calm him, albeit it was his first experience being in a new environment and around new people, there was no help or assistance to help him adjust. He was simply ignored and either put on chair (doing nothing) or being forced to sit with other kids.

The behavior and attitude of simply "getting the job done" was performed by the teachers. Almost robotic if you ask, as all tasks (story time, diaper change, playing) was done without any sense of character or humanity. I guess they also forgot the cameras are on and their true nature is exposed involuntarily (which is good). Can't speak for the other classrooms/teachers, but when there is a stench in one place, it is bound to travel to other areas.
- Dissect that as you please -
They talk a good deal/promotion to make the place look good but it's honestly a lipstick on a pig. Hot mess all around. And be aware of those directing the facility, as it seem they are unaware or simply do not care about anything but your pockets. Doesn't even address the kids during drop off.
Pls think twice and trust your gut when thinking of enrolling your child at COA Orland Park -or risk finding out the hard way.

We were initially excited to have our 2 year old son join this daycare. We informed the daycare our child will have a lot of separation anxiety since he has been out of daycare for the past 6 months and is not speaking yet. On the first day, we watched via camera on our phone his classroom, and were deeply saddened. Our son was in such distress by the door trying to leave the classroom and tried numerous times to grab the teacher to get him out of there. He was either pacing in distress, by the door, or by the teacher crying for hours until he was too exhausted to do so. The teacher did not appear to make much efforts to redirect our child into other activities, or with other children. We watched him cry and agonize for hours. He ate absolutely nothing. I emailed the day-care, and was informed they would try to help him accumulate better the next day. Unfortunately, not much improvement was seen even after multiple contacts to the daycare (emails, calls, via app). We pulled him out immediately the second day and requested a refund. Its been almost a month, and we still have not heard back from the Directors Supervisor or been issued the refund after multiple contacts. We feel our son was neglected and are extremely saddened by this and hope this does not happen to anyone else. I still gave one star because they allowed camera access, otherwise we would not know the degree of what our child faced.
