Since 1960, Sewataro has been sharing the joys of traditional day camping with boys and girls ages 3-15. From our Sprouts preschool program, all the way through our CIT program, campers are exposed to our beautiful, fifty-five acre north woods setting, including swimming pond, four pools, boating pond, zip line, rock wall, low and high ropes courses, music studio, tennis courts, paintball, and archery range.
Lunch service is available. Bus transportation is available from Boston, Cambridge, and the Metro West area. Our campers gather from as close by as Sudbury, Weston, Wayland, Winchester, Concord, Lexington, and Brookline; and as far away as Beijing, South Korea, South Africa, Mexico, and Columbia.
An Overnight Camp Experience in a Day Camp Setting
Sewataro is a dedicated summer day camp rather that a school operating as a camp during the summer. The directors work year-round planning and developing summer programs, which campers enjoy in the great outdoors. Screen time is replaced by time spent in natural surroundings.
All of the programming centers on having fun rather than being the best. Campers are encouraged to encourage one another to leave their comfort zones and try something new. Ideally, each camper should realize, "I am a capable person! I can tackle anything I put my mind to." As they overcome new challenges, children come away feeling good about themselves, believing they have something valuable to offer others.
