I never write reviews but I feel a moral obligation to share our experiance about "Absolute Best Grooming". We have taken our dogs there a few times, they have done okay until Saturday. on Saturday August 1, 2015 we dropped off our pug, when we picked her up 4 hours later she was struggling to breath. Some may think she is a pug and that comes with the breed but she has never sounded the way she did when we picked her up. Her breathing only worsened and sounded like her lungs were full of fluid, within 4 hours after we picked her up she passed away. It was so hard to watch her suffer, she was a healthy, playfull 8 year old pug who was perfectly fine acting completely normal that morning. She has been groomed many times before by other places and never acted stressed out or upset until this time. After doing some research we think they either put her in a head restraint which can be done on long nosed dogs but should never be done on short nosed dogs, or they may have held her so tight they crushed her lungs causing the Alveoli (or air sacks) in her lungs to rupture filling her lungs up with fluid.

We can't get a strait answer from them as to what happened. Every time we have spoken to them their story changes. We have even gone in person to talk to them and while we were waiting a guy was there to complain about his dog who had received an injury to the eye the same day we had our dog groomed. We never imagined this would be the outcome and want to spair someone else the heart ache and pain we have been going through. Please take this into account before taking your animals here.
