Preschool and childcare at the same time! From 2 1/2 years old to 5 years old! Academic learning and loving care rolled into one! I taught Kindergarten in a public school but at the same time could not find a loving, creative, hands on, academically based preschool for my own three year old son. So I started my own! We offer a loving, developmentally appropriate curriculum based on the Indiana Academic Standards. Our program is for children ages 2 1/2 to 5 years old. Our activities are creative and hands-on! Our home environment offers a safe, comfy place for children to explore, imagine, and learn problem solving and critical thinking skills. Pre-reading/math skills include alphabet letters and sounds, and number concepts. Our science and social studies units include animals, insects, birds, my five senses, dental health, food groups, classic literature, community helpers, and fire safety. We have a House Keeping Center, Block Center, loads of manipulatives, learning games and toys of all kinds! We enjoy story time, music, outside time and art everyday. We provide hot meals and snacks! Children may attend two to five days a week. We email a newsletter each Sunday evening with photographs of what the children learned that week and information about our learning activities in our upcoming week. Our assistants are wonderfully warm and loving qualified teachers. I have a master's from Ball State in Elementary Education, Early Childhood and Literacy. My husband and I have written 13 books on how to use literature with hands on activities in the classroom. Each semester, we share a learning checklist with you. We all work together for the benefit of your child! Most importantly, your child has fun in a safe, loving, learning environment. We are very flexible with our hours. So your child may attend either part time or full time, half-days or full days, depending on your schedule.
