A Royal RuffHouse opened it's door to our first boarders in May of 2004. Since that time we have boarded over 1,500 individual families with over 2,500 pets. As our client base grows we still keep the number of boarders at any one time to 10 or less to better insure the best experience for all of our guests.

A Royal RuffHouse specializes in Cage Free Dog Boarding where your babies get to socialize and play for the day or all week. The RuffHouse is the alternative to the traditional boarding kennel. The only time we lock up are guest is to feed them. Let us love and spoil them while your away in a home environment that caters to your babies happiness.

Some families worry about their dogs safety in a cage free environment. Since 2004, there have been only 3 dogs that have been bitten of which non where life threatening. Royal RuffHouse does due diligence in making sure that we do not board aggressive animals and maintain the proper level of supervision to better insure the safety of all of our guests.

We have discounted rates for Boarding, Daycare for half and full days, weekly and monthly rates for both boarding and daycare.

Ask about our Grooming and Special Need Services - We never charge to provide medication to our clients who have special needs or diets.

I really wanted to like this place. The prices were reasonable. Unfortunately, I will not be taking my dog here again. Upon drop-off, I was surprised to NOT be given the option to see the facilities. The owner was not very friendly or excited to see us. The customer service was not what I was expecting as Steve seemed extremely tired, lethargic, smelled very strongly of cigarettes, and seemed to be lacking in appropriate hygiene. I left my dog there for 4 days. I reached out in the middle of her visit to see how she was doing and the owner said she was fine. No details. Just that she was fine. He WAS nice enough to send me some pictures when I asked, so I was thankful for that. He was also very responsive to my messages. However, upon picking her up and putting her into the car, the smell of cigarette smoke permeated the vehicle. She immediately had to have a bath as soon as we got home. There was a yellowish brownish tinge to the water as we started to rinse her. I had to wash her bag, her harness and her collar because the smell was so strong. She was also pretty hungry and thirsty. Sadly, I do not recommend this business.

The Ruffhouse was everything that we hoped it would be. Cage Free so our baby gets the socialization skills and exercise that he needs. The staff is very knowledgeable and seem genuinely concerned with our babies well being. The Ruffhouse has flexible hours that meet the needs of individuals with crazy schedules. We also appreciated the security at The Ruffhouse. 6 ft interior and 5 ft exterior fencing, cemented interior and exterior fencing to prevent digging. Security Camera's placed so every square inch of the facility was under constant observation. We just love it at A Royal Ruffhouse and so does our baby.
