A Pet's Best Friend pet sitting service was started in 1995 by Melissa K., a pet owner and animal lover. Providing loving pet care for all domestic house pets in Broomfield, Westminster, or Northglenn in Colorado. A Pet's Best Friend pet sitting is a wonderful alternative to kennels. Our clients are able to enjoy their time away knowing that their pets are in excellent care. Not only do we pet sit while you are out of town, but we love visiting your pets midday while you are at work to take them for a walk and/or playtime in the back yard. We provide discounts to clients with cats only or dogs with doggie doors, and do not charge per pet.

In addition to terrific pet sitting, house sitting will be provided as well, such as watering plants, bringing in mail, setting out trash cans, and varying lights, window blinds, radio, or TV...all at no extra cost! We are an insured and bonded service and proud members of Pet Sitters International. We offer a free consultation at your home and provide excellent references, including recommendations from local veterinarians from the Broomfield area.

Because A Pet's Best Friend has a team of pet sitters on staff, we are able to guarantee that your pets would have coverage once scheduled. If a pet sitter is sick, has an emergency, or needs time off from work....no problem. Another pet sitter from our team will be ready to step in to take her place, following the same instructions you have reviewed with us. (Keep that in mind when considering a business in which the business owner is the pet sitter that works alone. What happens if she is not able to make it to your home?) All pet sitters have passed criminal background checks and are bonded/insured. You are always welcome to meet with the pet sitter assigned to you at no cost and we have a list of the pet sitters with their photos and biographies for you to refer to.

APBF saved the day for us; with Zeke sick and needing lifelong meds, and Zoe anxious and afraid of anyone getting near Zeke, Melissa and her wonderful band of dog whisperers came into our lives and helped enormously. The dogs are so happy to see any of Melissa's team of kind, caring women. We need the overnight services since Zeke cannot be kenneled, and the sitter is always neat, respectful of the home, and great to the animals in keeping "the pack" spirit when we go away. We love a Pets Best Friend and especially Marilyn who is our dog walker. We have used A Pets Best Friend for almost 2 years after my Moms dog (Abby) was diagnosed with diabetes and has to have daily insulin injections. As my Mom has very low vision she cannot do the shot and family cannot do it every day. Marilyn has become a dear friend to my Mom and besides helping her dog she helps my Mom if she needs it too. We love A Pet's Best Friend! We have been using A Pet's Best Friend for about 8 months and we could not be happier with the service that we have received. My work schedule changes often. Melissa has been able to accommodate walks for our dog every time and sometimes with very little notice. Our dog LOVES his walker and so do I. I have been home when the walker has come for our dogs walk. Our dog was so excited to see her and was happy throughout the entire visit. There is nothing like seeing the interaction between our dog and his walker to know that it is a good fit? I have recommended their service to family and friends. I've been using A Pet's Best Friend for almost 2 1/2 years now and could not be happier. Being a first time pet owner, Melissa put me at ease from the first time I met her. I have had to call her many times for various reasons and she's been my savior - someone I really feel I can lean on. I feel fortunate to have found her and her staff. My dog looooves his walker and any time his regular walker is unavailable I know he is always in good hands. Melissa and A Pets Best Friend gives me great comfort. I've been using A Pet's Best Friend for several years now and wouldn't consider any other service. I've used other services in the past, but none of them hold a candle to Melissa's care and service. Her pet sitters are the best - they truly care about the pets and my pups are always thrilled to have them show up. I have had to call Melissa for last minute coverage and she always does her best to try to get service for me. Melissa knows all the pets and I think they are like her extended children. When I've had a sick pet, she always follows up to see how the pup is doing. Not only does Melissa's crew care about the pets, they are also very safety conscious about the pets and the house. I can leave my home feeling confident that the pets and house will be well cared for when I return.
