We are a family of four and a fluffy small dog. I'm headed back to work on a part time/flexible basis and we are looking for some help with our two great children. We have an almost 2-year-old girl and cute-as-can-be two month year old boy. Our girl is very social and active. She keeps us on our toes. Our boy is still a bobble head but has proven to be a cooperative baby. Both children have had a tough time throughout this past cold and flu season, but other than that they are healthy and don't have special needs.
The position would be on the books, no exception. It would likely be between 30-40 hours per week and the hours would range between 8 a.m. and 6pm, 3 to 4 days per week. We would set the schedule at least two weeks in an advance. We would ideally like to pay a fixed weekly salary rather than an hourly rate. In other words, you would get paid the same amount every week regardless of how many hours you worked in the 30-40 range. Anything over 40 hours would be paid on a higher, overtime hourly rate.
We also can offer housing (after a trial basis) if that is something that you are interested in. We have a small one bedroom in our multi family home that can be available. In addition to the apartment rent free, we would also provide internet and cable for free and cover the cost of all utilities.
Generally, we would prefer someone who could help out with light housekeeping such as cleaning up after the kids, errands or grocery shopping when we need an item we don't have in the house and meal preparation primarily for the kids. We would prefer a nanny who does not smoke, who is willing to drive children, who is comfortable with pets, who has background working with children.
When you respond please let us know:
1. Are you comfortable with the position being on the books?
2. Would you be open to a part time position of 3-4 days per week?
3. Are you interested in housing as part of the position? We have a small one bedroom in our multi family home that can be available.
4. Would you be comfortable with a weekly rather than hourly salary and, if so, what is your target salary range (keeping mind taxes and the housing if desired)?
