Manjula has cared for our infant daughter for the past three months and she's wonderful with her. Manjula arrives on time and ready to work. My work hours are often irregular and Manjula has been able to adapt to that schedule. She's very attentive to our daughter's needs. She is sweet and trustworthy. We feel safe leaving our daughter in her care.

My name is Roberta, I'm a 26 years old Brazilian. I have lived in the bay area for the past two years working as an Au pair, a live-in nanny. I have a B. S. in geography from the Federal University of Parana. I taught geography to elementary and high school students at CESMAG - State College Senator Manoel Alencar GuimarĂ£es. I taught for a year, during this time I gained experience in teaching and mentoring young students. Working with children and teenagers in both home and learning environment has taught me skills in child development and interaction. My goal is to continue living in California to improve my English. The diverse community and culture in The Bay Area have such an impact on my life and I yearn to experience it further. I enjoy the responsibility of being a caretaker and a teacher to children of all ages. There is so much to learn about the developing mind and the innocence of youth; I find this experience magical.

Roberta is great and my son loves her. We hired Roberta with another family to watch our two toddlers, not an easy task, but she's done an amazing job. She's attentive and engaging with the kids and communicative throughout the day as needed. She's helped us during some tough transitions with our son (nap transition, teething, etc). Roberta does a great job keeping my son engaged-- she does art projects, dance parties, goes for walks to the park, reads, and facilitates play time-- and also makes sure that all his needs are met and is careful to follow-up if there's anything special we need done on a given day. I definitely trust Roberta with my son and I recommend her to anyone looking for a nanny.

Daira (Lorena) has been a wonderful caregiver for our 2 children (3 and 18 months). She is reliable, punctual, and always responds to calls/texts in a very timely manner. She is very knowledgeable as a caregiver and does a great job making the transition as pain-free as possible when it is time for her to take over. She shows affection and kindness to our children and she likes to take them outdoors and to our local park which they love. We are grateful for Lorena's time and help this past year and hope to work with her again in the future.
