Ryan Safarian

Chief Technology Officer

"I'm a student of technology, but a father first so I’m acutely aware of the anxieties surrounding choosing the perfect caregiver for our loved ones. This drives my commitment to provide the world with a secure and responsible platform to facilitate that match, while simultaneously powering the services that give care providers the opportunity to make a living."

Ryan was named Chief Technology Officer of Care.com in February 2020 and in that capacity, is responsible for broadening the Company’s technical identity and developing a comprehensive platform to unify all of Care.com’s digital properties.

Ryan has spent the last 14 years navigating his career around trending and disruptive innovation, from e-commerce to gaming to fitness and now care.  As a seasoned executive, leader, strategist and engineer, Ryan has architected the foundation and growth of multiple start-ups from pre-seed through series funding to acquisition.

Prior to joining Care, Ryan lead Technology at fitness company, Daily Burn, which is part of the IAC portfolio of brands. Earlier, he held multiple senior development and executive positions at companies including Onsite (acquired by SuiteRetail) and Jump Ramp Games (acquired by MobilityWare).
