John Adcock was appointed Senior Vice President, People Operations of Care.com in February 2021. In this capacity, he oversees the Company’s global People Operations function, including workforce strategy, culture and engagement, talent acquisition, and compensation and benefits, among other areas.

In the course of his 20+ year career in Human Resources, John has led all major HR functions and has been a strong advocate for human centered design as a core tool to ensure HR is building products to support the workforce. John focuses his energy and team on creating great places for people to work where they can grow, develop, and achieve great results.

Prior to joining Care.com, John most recently served as Senior Vice President, People, at RetailMeNot and earlier he served as Vice President of Human Resources at HomeAway (an Expedia Group company.) John was at Dell in various HR roles for 11 years, as well at American Airlines prior to that.

John holds a Master of Science degree in Organizational Psychology from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from Texas Christian University.
