I am sorry that this is a bit delayed, but I wanted to truly thank you for your service. My parents and I were very reluctant to have a stranger come in their home to take care of my 82 yr old mother who broke her hip, but we could not have been more pleased with our nurse. Sara was so kind, caring and flexible, she exceeded my best expectations! She went above and beyond to help my mother, making us feel at ease that she was being cared for when we were not able to attend to her. Sara is exceptional and I highly recommend her and A1 Health Care. I can't adequately express my gratitude for the peace of mind A1 and Sara offered myself and my siblings! Thank you so much!

My aunt has had a wonderful aide that lives with her through A-1 Health Care Agency for almost a year now. She was able to come to our home for Thanksgiving this year, for the first time in a long time. My aunt was accompanied by her aide since she is not steady on her feet and needs assistance in the bathroom. This woman was so kind, compassionate and helpful! She is not only my aunts care taker but has become a friend.
I am posting this because I was so impressed that she came to our home with my aunt. I thought this would be helpful to others during the holiday season.

I cannot express how grateful I am for the exceptional care provided by A-1 Health Care. From the moment we reached out to them, they were attentive, responsive, and understanding. The caregivers they assigned to my aging parents were not only compassionate and caring, but also highly skilled and experienced. Assaulting people on the sidewalk is not the sign of a good healthcare provider. Very frightening people, at least at the front desk.

The people that work there are violent and do not listen very well. I would recommend using a different company when looking for home care services.

Employee wants a photographer to leave the PUBLIC SIDEWALK, she ssaults the photographer on the PUBLIC SIDEWALK by grabbing and moving his camera equipment, she demands that he get off HER sidewalk and stand IN THE STREET, she assaults him with her sidewalk sign, she call the POLICE to have him removed.
1. photographer made no attempt to speek to any employees or customers.
2. He was legally filming as later confirmed by Police.
3. Employee was inside the office and could not be seen.
4. Employee came out and placed herself in front of the camera and then complains about it
5. Employee, Carol Trent?, commits assault/battery and could have been arrested if the photographer was as nasty as she was.
The photographer is a comedian who makes fun of 1st Amendment Auditors (Freedom Of The Press) while actually doing a 1st Amendment Audit himself.

I would suggest the Karen's you have working in the Hackensack office stay at their desk and not worry about citizens out on the street exhibiting free press!!!
This is why people are getting hurt!!! They have no right to put hands on or direct people outside of their office!!!

My husband had a massive stroke in 2009. He had a long term care policy which covered home health aides 5 times per week for 3 years. I contacted A-1 and they provided us with the most wonderful aides, male and female. They were all caring and hard working. 1 gentleman who worked with my husband was so up beat and positive. His energy got my husband into a better mood and improved outlook on life.
If ever there was a schedule change, I heard from an A-1 staff member immediately and the problem was solved quickly. We had a great experience with A-1 all around. The owner was incredible with my family and treated our case as if it were happening to her family member.
My husband was a challenge as he was unable to dress himself or shower alone. He needed help with meal preparation. The early years were the most challenging and A-1 helped so much to ease the emotional and physical burden for our family.
I would recommend A-1 to anyone who needs a home health aide for themselves or a family member. . My husband had a long term care policy which lasted for 3 years. When it ended, we had to discontinue A-1's services. We still miss the nurses visits, the one-on-one aides and encouraging conversations with their staff.

I used A1 during an episode of intractable pain. The pain was so severe I was rendered unable to move. The aide from A1 saved my life. Once again, due to another episode of intractable pain, I called the agency for help. They were attentive and responsive immediately. Their nurse came out to assess me that day. A close friend, who is a nurse, had recommended me to call A-1 HEALTHCARE. When I first called and spoke with the Agency, there was nothing but compassion and understanding of my situation. My dad is 93 and has dementia, diabetes, and gall stones. The situations can become extremely trying for my mom and family. They placed a WONDERFUL aide who works 11 days on and then 3 days off. My mom misses her during those 3 days. Though we have another aide who is also good, my mom has come to love our primary aide because she is with us most of the time. I consider her part of the family. This aide is like a hospice aide but is really not labeled as such. She provides the support for the whole family. I feel like I can sleep a little easier at night. I cannot express my gratitude enough to Lynn & Carol. They have worked with me numerous times, thru trying situations! They are not out for your money but are truly compassionate about helping the patient and their family. Many times people hear me talk and are very impressed with my positive experiences which they have not encountered. I freely give them the name of the agency. Words cannot express my gratitude and appreciation towards anyone involved with the care of my dad! THANK-YOU LYNN & CAROL AND YOUR AIDES WHO CARE FOR MY DAD!!!!!!!!...THANK-YOU!!!!!!!!!

It is my pleasure to recommend any one looking for a reliable and professional home care agency. A-1 Healthcare Services took care of y grandmother for over 2 years. We had a live-in home aide that became part of our family. We had 100% peace of mind for that time and were so grateful for their service.

Thank you so much A1 Health Care for sending Sonia to take care of my mother.You told me on the phone that she was a "gem" and indeed she was. She kept my mother spotlessly clean and was able to get her to eat which was never an easy task. My mother has episodes of dementia and was resistant to eating but Sonia was able to cajole her into doing so as it was important to keep her weight up. She had previously lost 20 pounds in a rehab facility. Sonia had a great sense of humor and was able to "jolly" my mother out of some of her depressive moods. This wonderful care made what had become a very difficult situation and time in my life-and in my mother's, a whole lot easier to handle.
