In middle school despite a great teacher, dedicated parents, and excellence in all other areas, I had a very hard time understanding math. My parents recognized my need for additional help and after a month with a tutor, I was empowered with the skills to excel in math!

That same year, I even received special recognition for superior achievement.
After working in a school and tutoring plenty of kids, I have really began to realize that acting out in school, cheating, and lack of love for learning all have the same reason: the child doesn't have the skills to achieve what is expected of them.
Children want to do well in school! I want to help them get the tools to do it!

I have volunteered and worked as a tutor for children since high school. My experience has included helping my friends' little brothers and sisters understand their math homework to working/volunteering at a low income school.

I began my love of learning at Challenger School, and then continued to Juan Diego Catholic High School. I received my bachelor's of science in International Studies at the University of Utah. After a year of working product development for a corporate event planning company, I returned to the University of Utah for my master's in business administration. I am also a full-time mom of a 2-year-old!

My hobbies include writing, sewing, reading and making cards. Throughout college, I was an opinion columnist for the university's paper. I am especially interested in business, specifically marketing.
